Islamabad, Feb 8 (IANS) At least two people were killed and six others injured in a hand grenade attack in Pakistan''s port city of Karachi Tuesday night, police said.
The attack took place in Liyari area of the city, police officer Nasir Aftab told Xinhua.
He said four people riding two motorcycles threw the hand grenades and fled after the attack.
Local residents said the grenade was thrown at people outside the office of the People''s Aman Committee, an organisation that reportedly supports the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party.
The committee was banned last year after the Muttahida Quami Movement blamed it for violence.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
