New Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Wednesday issued notice to the CBI on a plea of former director of Tehelka.com Anirudha Bahal challenging the charges framed against him by the trial court under the Official Secrets Act.
Justice A.K. Pathak, issuing notice to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), sought a response by Feb 12, 2013, on Bahal's plea asking the high court to set aside the trial court's order of Oct 16 on framing charges against him.
Bahal, who had exposed alleged corruption in defence deals during the NDA regime in 2001, is being prosecuted for illegally revealing the government's secret information on his news portal.
Bahal also asked the high court to suspend the proceedings in the special court.
