Male, March 2 (IANS) Former Maldivian foreign minister Fathuhullah Jameel passed away in Singapore at the age of 69, a media report said.
Jameel served as foreign minister for close to three decades. He died Monday.
He was admitted to the Singapore General Hospital a few days ago in a serious condition, The Haveeru Daily reported.
Jameel became foreign minister March 14, 1978, and held the post till July 14, 2005.
He had settled in Singapore with wife and two children.
