Uttar Pradesh doctors call off stir

Lucknow, March 6 (IANS) Doctors in Uttar Pradesh called off their strike Thursday morning, a day after the Allahabad High Court directed the striking doctors to return to work.

Lucknow, March 6 (IANS) Doctors in Uttar Pradesh called off their strike Thursday morning, a day after the Allahabad High Court directed the striking doctors to return to work.

The doctors decided to withdraw their stir after a delegation led by Devendra Lal Chandani, chairman of the action committee of the Indian Medical Association, met Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in Lucknow late Wednesday.
