'Chemical Ali' sentenced to death by Iraq tribunal
Baghdad/Cairo, June 24 (DPA) Iraq's special tribunal Sunday sentenced Ali Hassan al-Majid, a cousin of Saddam Hussein and known internationally as 'Chemical Ali' to death for his role in the genocide against Kurds in the late 1980s.

Lone bidder for Delhi 2010 Games village is worried
Dubai, June 24 (IANS) Emaar MGF, the joint venture between Dubai-based Emaar Properties and India's MGF and the only bidder so far for constructing the 2010 Commonwealth Games Village in Delhi, has not yet got a firm commitment from the Indian authorities yet, say its officials. They are worried about being able to complete the huge task with the games just three years away.
