Dubai, Nov 18 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host three UN conferences on telecommunications between November and December.

These conferences will take place for the first time in the Middle East, a great feat for the UAE and a reflection of the country's growing status in the international telecommunications arena.

These will be organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN's specialised agency for Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
