London, April 26 (IANS) Singer and actress Mariah Carey is trying to revive her career with independent film 'Tennessee' after the huge flop 'Glitter' almost seven years ago.
Offers became scant after the disastrous 'Glitter', but producer Lee Daniels wanted to give her another chance. Carey is now set to return in the role of a waitress, reports contactmusic.com.
She said: 'It was cool for Lee Daniels to take a chance on me because obviously, you know, not everybody was going to do that.'
The film is about two men on a journey to find their estranged father and save their younger brother from leukaemia.
