UAE team meets Polish PM

Warsaw, Feb 6 (IANS/WAM) A UAE delegation led by Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, minister of economy, held a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw Wednesday for the first Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the UAE and Poland.

Warsaw, Feb 6 (IANS/WAM) A UAE delegation led by Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, minister of economy, held a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw Wednesday for the first Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the UAE and Poland.

The meetings coincided with the launch of an Emirates direct flight between Dubai and the Polish capital.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Department of Civil Aviation and other officials.

Sheikh Ahmed said Warsaw was the first new destination for Emirates in 2013 and its 129th route.

Al Mansoori and Tusk discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, especially in the areas of economic cooperation and creation of investment opportunities.

The UAE-Poland bilateral trade reached $400 million in 2011.
