Tata Elxsi unveils incubation centre for start−ups

Bangalore, Nov 26 (IANS) Leading Indian design and product firm Tata Elxsi Monday set up an incubation centre − incub@TE in this tech hub to support entrepreneurs set up start−ups in the areas of mobile, social, local, enterprise cloud and embedded applications.

Bangalore, Nov 26 (IANS) Leading Indian design and product firm Tata Elxsi Monday set up an incubation centre − incub@TE in this tech hub to support entrepreneurs set up start−ups in the areas of mobile, social, local, enterprise cloud and embedded applications.

"As a trendsetter in innovation and product development, we will assist young entrepreneurs in incubating the next wave of product and service oriented start−ups in diverse areas by providing infrastructure, expertise and support to key markets and funding," Elxsi chief executive Madhukar Dev said in a statement here.

The centre will enable start−ups and their entrepreneurs to convert their innovative ideas into commercially viable products and services.

"We will also help entrepreneurs associated with the incubation programme gain market visibility, acceptance and credibility," said company's strategic initiatives vice−president Rajesh Kumar.

As part of the $100−billion Tata group, the IT firm addresses communications, consumer products, defence, healthcare, media and entertainment, semiconductor and transportation sectors through a talent pool of over 4,000 employees and a network of design studios, development centres and offices worldwide.

Key services include embedded product design, industrial design, animation and visual effects and systems integration.
