Los Angeles, Feb 1 (IANS) Rapper Kanye West, who will become a father in July, has reportedly told friends he is hoping for a son.

His socialite girlfriend Kim Kardashian is expecting their first child.

"I think they already know what they are having, but Kanye hasn't been saying anything other than that he wants a little baby boy," contactmusic.com quoted a source as saying.

"That would make him real happy. He has always wanted a little boy. He wants to spoil him rotten, but also teach him a lot. He wants his son to be great so hopefully he will be able to have a little guy," added the source.

However, Kanye insists he will be happy with a daughter too.

"He has got his heart set on having a son, but he would be happy with a little girl too. No matter what they have, that baby is going to be his heart," said the source.
