Egypt PM sentenced to one-year jail

Cairo, April 17 (IANS) Egypt's Misdemeanor Dokki Court sentenced Wednesday Prime Minister Hesham Qandil to one year in prison and ordered his removal from job, accusing him of failing to implement a verdict to return a privatised company to the state, state-run Al-Ahram online reported, according to Xinhua.
