Abu Dhabi to host mobile app awards

Abu Dhabi, Jan 27 (IANS/WAM) Abu Dhabi will host the prestigious 2013 World Summit Award (WSA)-Mobile Content that will honour innovative mobile applications of 40 people and organisations from around the world.

Abu Dhabi, Jan 27 (IANS/WAM) Abu Dhabi will host the prestigious 2013 World Summit Award (WSA)-Mobile Content that will honour innovative mobile applications of 40 people and organisations from around the world.

The event will take place Feb 3-5 at the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers.

Eight WSA Mobile Global Champions will receive special recognition for their outstanding solutions.

It will also feature panel sessions and workshops covering topics like multi-screen marketing and mobile game design, to learning apps and the mobile ecosystem.

Renowned experts like Harri Koponen, co-creator of the Angry Birds game, will share their views on the future of mobile app development.

The WSA-Mobile Award will honour pioneering content in eight categories -- m-Business, m-Government, m-Health, m-Learning, m-Media, m-Entertainment, m-Tourism and m-Inclusion.

A grand jury of global experts will select five winners in each category.
