Plot


The story is based on Sharat Chandra's novel, which have been earlier made into a number of Hindi and Regional films. The film is about a tragic tale of star-crossed lovers. Devdas is the younger son of a Bhrahim zamindar. Parvati is also a daugher of a Brahmin family. The two families are neighbours.
