Well, Meenakshi is innocent to the core.She is very gulliable and youngest  bahu of the family. Since  straight-forward Gudiya who speaks her mind comes as the youngest bahu IMO she felt little insecured. Meenakshi is trying to show that she is her Jethani and doing things which are not normally what Meenakshi dose. Meenakshi and Gudiya seem poles apart but at the same time they share the affinity of love, devotion and loyality for that family. Thats why I like both of them
