Kismat Konnection Preview

In college Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapur) was numero uno. In academics, sports, dramatics and touted as the next cover of Time magazine. But four years after winning the best-student-of-the-year trophy from his architectural college, he's wondering why a brilliant architect like him, with designs to set the Canadian landscape on fire, is still struggling to find that One Big Chance to showcase his mettle.

It's almost as though some negative kismat is following him around because whenever something good is about to happen, it seems doomed to fail.

Why else would his alarm refuse to ring, his shower stop midway, his car refuse to start, just when he's in a tearing hurry to reach a crucial meeting on time?

The end result is the same? The deal is dead or the client is dead!

Desperate to fight this cussed kismat that's hell bent on playing such mean tricks on him, Raj meets a quirky oracle, Hasina Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla). She tells him that soon, his stars will change his luck and make everything work in his favour; but for all this to happen, Raj has first to find his lucky charm and never let go of it. But she tells him no more, leaving Raj mystified, trying to figure out what this charm could be.

Suddenly his life seems to be on the right track. He's managed to impress top builder Sanjeev Gill (Om Puri), into giving him a prestigious project.

Priya is a tough-talking, tough-decision taking girl with a heart of gold. She is an idealist who is intent on making the world a better, more humane place and is quite willing to fight a lone battle for it. She is a person who believes in action. Life for her is clearly colored in blacks and whites. Shades of grey have no role for her. She will give her all to her causes, her people and her love and expect nothing less in return.

Raj even succeeds in persuading pretty Priya (Vidya Balan) that he's the Messiah who can save her beloved Community Center from destruction. And also opened her eyes to her philandering fianc (Amit Verma).

Raj even manages to thwart the evil designs of old-college-foe-turned-deadly-professional-enemy Dave Kataria (Manoj Bohra).

Guys the music has been release yesterday and the shahid and vidya look good for event,though shahid smiled less.The pics are available at radiosargam,filimicafe and many websites.I forgot to post it up then.Sorry. 😳

Shahid's pranks on KISMAT KONNECTION set

While shooting in Toronto at the community centre location, Vishal Malhotra (who is playing Shahid's friend) thought his shoot for the day was done and he left for the hotel which was about a ten minutes distance from location.

Just then Aziz Mirza decided that he wanted to shoot one more angle and called for Vishal. However, he was informed that he had left. Shahid called up Vishal and asked him to come back. He also told him that the shooting has stopped and both Ramesh Taurani and Aziz Mirza were very upset that he had left the set. He told everyone to play along with this.

So when Vishal literally ran back to the location he first met Vidya who cordially just greeted him, hence making him even more nervous. Then Shahid took him aside and building up the tension told him that this was not done and now he was in trouble.

As poor Vishal came onto the set, everyone just gave him stern looks. He was so scared and kept apologizing but Rameshji gave the joke away when he could not control his laughter and Vishal realized that everyone was pulling his leg.

"I can't believe that I actually fell for it. They all held up well. Thank God for Rameshji who gave the joke away. I was so very nervous. Shahid and i have known each other from Ishq Vishk days and we keep pulling these wise ones on others but I never expected him to pull this one on me. Look out Shahid, I owe you one," he says jokingly.

Actor Shahid Kapur on the sets of his next release Kismet Konnection spills the beans about his upcoming film, Vidya Balan and the girl who can steal his heart.

Amrita Panja: What is Kismet Konnection all about?

Shahid Kapur: Basically it's a romantic comedy, It's a fun film and a young film.

Amrita Panja: There have been so many speculation about you and Vidya being in a relationship, whereas you both have always come out and said that you're just good friends, so how do you handle it all?

Shahid Kapur: I try not to think about it honestly, because I don't want anything to stop me from living a normal life.

Amrita Panja: You are considered to be the most eligible bachelor in the industry, how do you handle that tag?

Shahid Kapur: I don't know what to say, I feel a bit odd when such things are said. But I guess it's a good feeling, so thank you for that tag, though It keeps passing from one person to another every six months. So I guess I'm happy while it lasts.

Amrita Panja: Since this is a romantic film, how would you describe your dream girl?

Shahid Kapur: I think I must have been 10-years-old when I stopped thinking on those lines, the concept is mostly in books than in reality. I'd just like to meet somebody who is normal, who I can get along with, who can be herself, honest, loyal, straightforward and who loves me for who I am.
