Rajkumar killed Aarushi: Krishna
The Aarushi-Hemraj murder case took a dramatic turn with Krishna stating that Rajkumar tried to rape Aarushi Talwar and later killed her.
Krishna, compounder at Dr Talwars clinic, said during his narco-analysis test that he along with Hemraj, Rajkumar and another person by the name Shambu had met at Aarushi's residence on May 15. They assembled at the servant quarters where they had beer together.
Krishna said that Rajkumar, a domestic help at Anita Durrani's residence, had cast an evil eye on Aarushi.
After having beer, Rajkumar went to Aarushi's room and tried to force himself on her. However, she resisted and he was forced to kill her.
Rajkumar killed her with a khukri by slitting her throat. Krishna also said during the test that Hemraj had threatened to reveal all as a result of which they were forced to kill him. He said that they took Hemraj to the terrace and killed him.
Krishna during his narco-test in Bengaluru, however, did not say clearly as to who the new peson Shambu was.
He said during the test that they cleaned the weapon and dumped it outside.
The CBI is having a tough time in taking the case to the next level. They are yet to get answers as to why the Talwars did not hear the screams when they were in the next room.
Krishna also said that the Talwars were innocent and they did not play any role in the murder.
The CBI has now launched a hunt for Shambu and are trying to ascertain what role he has played in this case.
The CBI is contemplating subjecting Rajkumar to a narco-analysis test.
The 'whodunnit' mystery over the sensational Noida twin murders seem to have caught the news channels in a big way.
New Delhi: The 'whodunnit' mystery over the sensational Noida twin murders seem to have caught the news channels in a big way.
The media watchdogs devoted half of their prime time to the case.
A
study by the Centre for Media Studies (CMS) said six channels beamed
news and special programmes on the double murder for 39.30 hours out of
92 hours prime time -- from 7 pm to 11 pm -- between May 16 and June 7.
The study analysed 23 days of prime time coverage of the
May 16 twin murders of Aarushi Talwar and her domestic maid Hemraj. The
investigation later invited national attention after allegation of
damage by the Uttar Pradesh Police.
DD News, Zee News, Aaj
Tak, Star News, NDTV 24X7 and CNN-IBN telecast 234 news reports and 62
special programmes during the period, the study said.
The news reports consumed about 17 hours of the prime time while specials ran into over 22 hours.
Zee
News topped the list with coverage of almost 11 hours with 48 reports
and 21 special programmes. DD News coverage was at the bottom with 24
reports running into just 41 minutes over 23 days under review.
"The
Aarushi murder case was overplayed. If you consider the time for
advertisements, I wonder how much time was devoted to other stories,"
Prabhakar, Head of CMS Media Lab, said.
"We feel the
Gujjar agitation, having more national ramification, did not get
adequate TV coverage and also the crucial developments in Nepal when it
turned into a republic," he added.
Aarushi murder case: CBI detains Rajkumar |
New Delhi, June 19: Clueless in the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case, the
Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday morning detained Rajkumar -
the domestic help of Dr Anita Durrani and Dr Praful Durrani who are
also the family friends and business associates of the Talwars. Rajkumar, who was earlier released by the agency on Wednesday night, was subjected to a lie detector test. Meanwhile, the judicial custody of Rajesh Talwar, the prime accused in the Noida double murder case, ends today. Talwar will be produced before a Ghaziabad court later in the day. "We will press for his bail as the CBI has not found anything against him," Talwar's lawyer Praveen Kumar Rai said. The counsel is planning to take the CBI to the designated court in which the agency has claimed that Krishna was involved in the killings and that it was looking for two to three accomplices. This means that the CBI has nothing against Talwar, the counsel said. Earlier, the CBI on Wednesday questioned the Durranis and sought bank account details of Rajesh Talwar. The CBI has also sought details of bank account of Rajesh Talwar of last one year. The Durranis -- Praful and Anita -- were called to the CBI headquarters on Wednesday evening and examined by psyco-analysts from forensic sciences laboratory and AIIMS. The agency, which has been struggling hard to find the motive behind the murder, meanwhile, continued questioning the Rajesh Talwar's compounder Krishna. The discrepancies in Krishna's his statements to the CBI is giving rise to the suspicion that either Krishna was the person who allegedly carried out the gruesome murders or was actively part of the criminal conspiracy hatched to carry out the killing. |
'Hemraj was involved in illegal chit fund'
19 Jun 2008, 0303 hrs IST,TNN
NOIDA: Although the details of questioning of Dr Rajesh Talwar by the Noida police have not been made public, this paper has learnt from official sources that he had indicated that his domestic help, Hemraj, was involved in some illegal chit fund activities in Noida. And that Hemraj's associates may have killed him over some dispute.
According to official sources, Dr Talwar had only conjectured about who killed Aarushi and Hemraj on the night of May 15. He told investigators that "since there were three liquor glasses in Hemraj's room. It was obvious that some people had arrived there and consumed liquor. They were possibly connected with the chit funds. Later they probably murdered Hemraj, and Aarushi was just unlucky enough to have seen Hemraj's visitors. She possibly recognized one or more of them. They murdered my daughter to silence her forever. She must have recognized them."
Sources said Hemraj seemed to have run up huge debts. He had probably sent most of his money to his family in a Nepal village. On Wednesday, CBI sleuths reportedly took Dr Nupur Talwar to a private bank in Sector 18. They reportedly found that Dr Nupur had withdrawn Rs 26,000 from her account on May 14. They also picked up Talwars' maid, for questioning.
Finally, yes finally something that points towards a motive. I have no idea how authentic this news story is. Yet it certainly could be a damn good reason that made Krishna feel threatened and fear for his life, as he told some Ms. Thakur the day before he was murdered.
However the C.B.I.'s attempt to tie Nupur Talwar's bank withdrawal on May 14, 2008 to the murders is totally off the wall. What the heck are they trying to prove here? Absolutely preposterous and asinine line of thinking by, supposedly the most prestigious investigating agency in India. Baah humbug.
The C.B.I. is making every attempt to turn these horrible murders into a witch hunt. On the one hand they keep alluding to the fact that almost all the servants at sector 25 are involved per Krishna's Narco Analysis. Then they keep on hounding the Durrani's, the Talwars and god knows who else. 😡😡
Support builds up for Krishna, neighbours allege frame-up
19 Jun 2008, 0306 hrs IST, Lalit Kumar,TNN
NOIDA: Though the CBI claims that Dr Talwar's compounder-cum-receptionist Krishna has made a "confessional" statement, admitting to his role in the double murders, Krishna's neighbours and landlord in Noida are not willing to buy the theory.
"Krishna has been framed, possibly to save some big fish," said a resident of Block-L, Jalvayu Vihar. And that's the predominant mood in the colony.
In fact, his landlord, K N Johri, a retired air force personnel, and his wife have put off their visit to Singapore just to stay back and support Krishna and his family. "My family knows Krishna since he was about 14 years old. My wife, Rekha, brought him and his sister up. She used to teach them at home. And, there is no way we can believe he could commit a murder," Johri told TOI on Wednesday.
According to sources, a prominent Delhi lawyer, who is currently in London, has decided to represent him in the case. Said Johri: "Krishna has to be saved at any cost. There has to be someone willing to back a poor man in getting justice. We will not abandon him at this stage."
Krishna's sister, Parvati, works at the residence of Johri's daughter, who stays in Singapore. Krishna, his niece Sunita, nephew Sandeep and brother-in-law, Jaideep, live in a room at the Johri residence. The accommodation's like the one Hemraj lived in at the Talwar residence, just 40 yards away from Johri's.
It is learnt that Johri, who goes for morning walk daily, was just leaving his house when he noticed heavy police presence at the Talwars'. He went up to their house to check what had happened, and learnt about the gruesome murders. Johri then returned home and informed Krishna. "When I told him about the murders, he appeared genuinely shocked,' Johri said.
Dr Talwar's judicial custody extended |
Zeenews Bureau
Ghaziabad/New Delhi, June 19: The judicial custody of Dr Rajesh Talwar, the father of Aarushi, who was found murdered in her Noida residence in the early hours of May 16, has been extended by 14 days by Ghaziabad Special CBI Court. The development came after CBI's staunch opposition to the bail application of Dr Rajesh Talwar, prime accused in the Noida double murder case. The CBI contended that as the investigation are not yer complete it needs to conduct another polygraph test on him. Thereby, filing an application before the designated court of Justice Sapna Mishra, CBI pleaded for Talwar's continuance in judicial custody as he can give vital clues that can proove vital in cracking the sensational double murder case. The counsel for Talwar, however, opposed the judicial custody saying the agency had not found any substantial evidence to prove his role in the gruesome act. Talwar was arrested on May 23 by Noida police for allegedly murdering his teenage daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj on the intervening night of June 15-16. The court also pulled up the CBI of violating its orders by taking Dr Talwar to jail without its prior permission. Meanwhile, the CBI, in a statement to the media said that a lie detector test of Rajesh Talwar has been done and as the result of it was not very satisfactory, he will be subjected to yet another test on Friday. Tests have already been performed on Rajkumar-Durani's servant, Vijay Mondal, the servant of Durani's neighbour and the Duranis themselves. |
