"Why you never wear a tie Milind?" Prachi said looking at the number of
ties in Milind's wardrobe.
"The reality is I never learnt how to wear a tie Prachi" Milind said with a
"I can do it for you if you wish. I think you will look more smart in ties,
you can wear them for occasions".
"By all means, I have an important meeting today with some foreign
Milind took out a blue suit and went to the bathroom to change.
Meanwhile Prachi chose a tie to go with the suit. Milind came to Prachi
and bent his neck in front of her. She put the tie on him, Milind held her
hands with his hands and their eyes met. "Prachi your eyes…." paused
Milind and the pause turned into a silence between the two. Milind's
hands pressed Prachi's hands softly, which brought her back to senses.
"Milind can we go out tonight, somewhere there is no one, I want to talk
to you", Prachi requested him. Milind happily agreed and told her that
after office today, they can go somewhere.
Both Milind and Prachi were waiting for the evening desperately. Prachi
was wanting to tell him about Neev and clear her mind about Ayesha. She
wanted to clearly know what he felt for her. Milind was more than happy
that Prachi was ready to talk to him as he wanted to know her heart too.
But he was a little bit worried about what if she tells him that she still
loves Neev and she married him only for money.
Milind and Prachi hardly saw each other in the office that day as they
were busy with different things. Finally both were finished with their work
and as they walked to the car park, Milind asked Prachi where to go.
Prachi wasn't sure as all she wanted was some exclusive time with Milind.
As he didn't hear from Prachi, he told her that he will drive wherever the
road takes them. Prachi thought that was a good idea.
Milind drove on the highway which lead Khandala. He drove for hours and
only music was played between them. As they reached Khandala, it
started pouring heavily. Milind drove towards a hotel and booked a room
there. He called the family to say that they may not be able to come home
as they are stuck in rain.
Prachi and Milind were so hungry that they had some food and reached
their room. It was a cosy room with a huge bed and candles around.
Milind sat on the sofa loosening his tie while Prachi went to fresh up.
Prachi came and sat on the sofa that was facing Milind's.
"So, we ended up in a hotel room! Now tell me what is it you want to talk
to me?". Asked an anxious Milind.
"Milind, I am not sure how do I start, but I have this great urge to talk my
heart to you. We got married in a very strange situation, and.."
"Haan Prachi, for me the marriage was a game, and for you it was a
"No, Milind. When we married and took the vows, I truly prayed for a
good marriage. Please don't think I was tortured by you. Your words
always hurt me but your actions said something else".
"Prachi, to be honest, I only married for the reasons I quoted on our
wedding night. I was fully prepared to abuse you in all possible ways, but
your eyes Prachi.. your eyes, they stopped me. They made me feel guilty. I
wasn't guilty of showing Aalaap his place, I wasn't guilty of acquiring
Shah industries. I wasn't guilty of taking revenge against Ayesha. But for
you, I hated myself for what I did to you and the way I treated you. The
only defense I have on my part is to tell you that I had assumed things
about you. You were not the rich, arrogant Prachi Shah I expected. What I
saw was a down to earth, caring, innocent girl. I know I am your culprit
Prachi. I give you all the rights to do what ever you want to do with me,
yourself and this marriage. I will stand by your decision with no
Prachi didn't want to hear an explanation. She rather wanted to hear what
he feels for her. She thought at least she should tell him her side.
"Milind, though I agree I was scared of marrying you, it was for my good
that I married you. You saved my family from being on streets. You didn't
ill treat my mother or sister. Aalaap deserved what he got. And Milind I
was so happy to be a part of your lovely family of papa and sukruti. They
love me so much and I feel so close to them. You allow my family and
yours to stay together. You gave me a job, and helped me learn business.
And then these days you have been so caring that I.."
"You don't need to be with me just to show gratitude. Prachi if some one
else is in your heart, you don't need to stay with me".
"Milind you are talking about Neev right? Neev and I were friends from
child hood and very fond of each other. When we grew up, everyone
thought we love each other. Neev thought he loved me too. I never really
understood about love or marriage. When Neev asked me to marry him, I
had no reason to say NO just as I had no reason to say YES. I just went
with what our families wanted. But then, we couldn't get married. Neev is
married to Ayesha today. I am married to you. To me you are my
everything. The care you have shown over the past few weeks has only
made me close to you. Today I wanted to talk to you because I wanted to
tell you how much I respect you, love you and want to be with you all the
time. But Milind if you don't feel the same way, I will not forcefully stay
with you." Prachi got up and walked towards the window while saying
Milind;s eyes glowed with what he just heard. He couldn't believe it. He
quickly followed her and asked "Prachi, is what you said is true?" Prachi
moved her head with eyes filled with tears and lips tightly stitched.
Milind held Prachi;s arms and said, "Prachi, meri Prachi, I want you so
much in my life. I have become so attached to you. I never felt a pull I
have felt for you for Ayesha or anyone. I want you in my life from the
bottom of my heart. I love you Prachi, I love you".
Saying that Milind pulled Prachi to him while she tightly stuck to him as
iron to a magnet, wanting to become one. After minutes Prachi felt a
shiver in her with the feel of being so close to a man. She had goose
bumps all over her body which Milind's hands felt while holding her back
with his hands. For Milind it was the ultimate comfort he could have
asked for. It was something he had longed for ever since his wedding.
They pulled apart later to see into each other's eyes. Milind said, "these
eyes Prachi, have all the magic in them. I want to be around them all my
life. Will you grant me this happiness?". Prachi closed her eyes to say with
smile, happiness and content. Milind bent to kiss her eyes and drank the
tiny tears that had just started flowing from them. He kissed her then on
both of her cheeks, forehead and started moving towards her lips. Prachi
felt shy sensing his approaching lips moved away quickly closing her face
with both hands.
"Hey Prachi, please show me your cute face… set your hands free.."
"No, Milind I am feeling so shy". Prachi mumbled.
Milind put his hands on the exposed part of her waist and pulled her
towards him again. He started tickling her on her waist, which forced her
to take her hands off of her face to to stop his hands. Milind didn't waste
time to catch her slender hands on her back with one of his hands and
with the other he held Prachi's face. Pulling her face closer, he said "I love
you Prachi" and in a second his lips caught hers not allowing her to repeat
what he just said. The kiss went on for a long time till their breaths
stopped. He loosened his grip on Prachi's hands and Prachi hugged him
tightly burying her face in his chest.
Milind started moving his hands all over her back making her lose herself
in his arms. He then picked her in his arms to carry her to the bed and
put her slowly on bed. Standing besides the bed, he removed his coat and
tried to take the tie off. "You tied it, you have to remove it now", said
Milind. Prachi got up and did it with her eyes lowered. Holding her and
sitting besides her, Milind demanded "aur shirt?", Prachi hit him on his
shoulder and turned around to bury her face in the pillow. Milind not only
took his shirt off but removed the hooks of her blouse to kiss her all over
her back. Prachi gave herself into the moment and forgot herself. Her
body reacted to his kisses that made him kiss her even more. Prachi
switched off the bed lamp as it came to a point where Milind had
completely undressed her. However, moonlight peeped through the
window to make her body shine like a silver. Milind and Prachi became
one that night with their soul, mind and body mingling in one other.
Much later, Milind slept on Prachi's bosom, with his one leg on her. Prachi
had put her arms around him. A blanket covered them to safeguard a
Milind-Prachi (Michi) world from the outside. Moonlight blessed their
