hmm....
in some schools in HK people do UK public exams.....GCSEs/ IGCSEs.....and they do them in year 11 (but not in year 10-though they study the exam syllabus in year 10 and 11.....but do the exams when they are in year 11)
I did them (though in HK they've started IGCSEs last year) whne I was in grade 10....had to do it as a private candidate since I was doing it a year earlier and my school only provides HKCEEs (HK public exams...that students do when in year 11 but just like for GCSEs/ IGCSEs....they are taught in year 10 and half of year 11 the syllabus and in the other half of year 11 they do their public exams)....
so this year I did HKCEEs.....like any normal HK student in year 11

and yah....GCSEs are O-levels 😊
