In pakistan, it is allowed to do 2, 3 marriages without divorcing ur 1st, 2nd wives.. However u need to have the agreement of ur 1st wife ofcourse dat she is willing 2 live wid dat.. But nowdays, especially in the rural scene, it is very common to see that a man has like 2-3 wives and he keeps one in the village, one in the city and ofcourse he doesnt pay any attention 2 his wife in the village and all.. And since these village women are very poor they can not object, divorce or even leave thier husbands since the education level in women in pakistan is hardly 5%.. Especially in old ages, it is common to see well-off families man marrying again, a new young but poor girl..
What do u feel abt dis?? Is dis fair?? Shudnt the govt take sum action abt dis??
*Im not talking abt western countries, just pakistan and some of the eastern countries*

If thr is such a system, then all women together should stand together and revolt against it.. Just an initiative is required.. Why dont the educative community educate the uneducated community and make them self protective.. All you need is a spark, fire wl be caught automatically...

you mean the Law...ya its true the law not permit to marry more than one time...Cos the law made by men..he know the difficulties
I would say, make all those men stand together and shoot them out... They dont deserve to stay in this world --How rude!!!
We poor men try to help the needy only...If thr is such a system, --there is such a system in this world...its successfully running in Arab world...then all women together should stand together and revolt against it..lolokie.... Anuradha, Islam permits up to 4 wives at a time. The permission to marry up to four woman was given at a stage when there had been heavy war casualties and there were large numbers of widows and orphans. However, there are some really stringent conditions attached to this permission including treating each wife exactly the same as the other emotionally, financially, and physically plus having the first wife's permission to marry again. If men were forced to fulfil them in the way they are supposed to be fulfilled, no man would go beyond one! Sadly, in the subcontinent religion and society are a man's domain, hence this blatant exploitation of women in the name of religion. Also, divorce is considered such a huge taboo in the subcontinent that the first wife generally gives permission instead of asking for a divorce even if she is unhappy with the arrangement.

Trust me here there is nothing called ethics..

Even if they revolt, as i said before, what will they get?? They arnt educated, financially stable.. The men will divorce.. Where will dey go.. Or the man wunt marry again but will still see other women.. Wht wud dey do..

But the the thing is dat even if they are aware of their rights, dese poor ladies wunt do anything bec dey r not financially stable! They have no choices!
