Episode 79 -
Recap: Aish, and Vaish give MA a makeover, and the latter also cooks for everyone at Sakthi's house. All, excluding Divya, praise MA for her cooking and compliment her on the new look. Divya is furious!
Divya, in her room, looks very tensed. Sakthi goes to Divya's room, sits by her on the bed, and asks why she didn't eat. He wonders if she avoided eating because MA prepared the food. She exclaims that he overly praised MA while he never even bothered to eat the day when she (Divya) cooked, asking if he enjoys MA's food more so than hers. Sakthi tells her not to even go there, since it would bring forth more problems. Divya doesn't leave and keeps asking if he really enjoys her food! Sakthi replies that Divya has still not matured adding that they not fight over this. Divya explains that she is irritated by the fact that Sakthi is overly praising MA – one whom Divya doesn't like to see. Sakthi tries to explain that MA is not really bothering anyone, and with regards to his comments towards MA's modern dress, he recalls praising Aish for that matter, hence tells her not to take it wrongly. Divya doesn't want him to compare MA to Aish. Sakthi is really fed up and kindly requests her to change topic, and wants Divya to cheer up her arumai Kadhalan (in a romantic way?). Instead, Divya wants him to cheer her up.
Sakthi readily agrees and tries to tickle her. Divya has a smile on her face, and before Sakthi could tickle her, she stops him. Sakthi wants to share some jokes, to which Divya replies that his jokes won't make her laugh. Sakthi reminds her of the time in Singapore, during which point, Divya cracked up upon hearing a particular joke, and wonders if she wants to hear it again. Divya hides her happiness and puts the offer down. Sakthi tells her a mokkai joke anyways, but Divya wants him to leave her alone. He leaves!
After Sakthi leaves, Divya is sitting at the same spot, but soon she is startled by Sakthi, who makes a sudden appearance as moondram pirai Kamal Hassan monkey avatar. She cannot control her laughter and requests Sakthi to stop! Sakthi is elated over the fact that he was able to make her laugh; Divya softly requests him not to make her cry. Sakthi assures her! A lovely scene!
Hurray the kadhalarkal have finally patched up….let hope they remain like this!!!
Sakthi is taking Divya out on his bike. They go to a field site, and while they are having chips, Sakthi tells her how much time they've wasted due to Divya's confusions/ stubborness. Divya replies that she so badly wanted to clear her doubts. He then informs her about the time when his parents inquired on Divya's dullness. Divya is shocked, but soon teasingly adds that he too was responsible for her state. Sakthi once again begins to talk about MA, but Divya finds it extremely boring to talk about MA.
They are on their way to another spot; there he confesses that he adores Divya's eyes the best and shares a poem with her:
Un Kangal ennum medaiyil
Nadanam aadum eru vizhigalil
Ennai naaney paarthu kondirukka
Ennakul etho aasai
Divya likes it and wonders when he wrote it. According to Sakthi, this was written for her a week ago, adding that she was in his mind despite her not talking with him during that time. Divya responds that she too suffered from not talking to him. As such, Sakthi wondered why she never came forth to talk to him. Divya turns the question on to him. Sakthi adds that her ego never let her, while Divya too adds that Sakthi is full of ego. He then adds that he was the one to approach her first, and thinks that perhaps Divya was testing (to see how he'd respond) him by being stubborn. After a brief period of silence, Sakthi tells Divya about the arrival of Vaish's parents from Mumbai sometimes in the near future! He further informs her of his uncle (a friendly man) and aunt (a cheesy woman) characters! After a while, they decide to leave. Sakthi helps Divya cross a few places. Very cute!
Sakthi, in white – white, waits for Divya. The latter is a little surprised seeing him in white and asks if she's off to play test cricket. Sakthi, with his poetic lines, describes the meaning of white. Divya is a little freaked out and wants to leave, wondering if he could not find someone else that day to bug. Sakthi calms her and wants to share something with her. She wants to know what it is, but Sakthi takes his good time (a little scared too). He then tells her about the auspicious day, Akshiyathiruthigai, explaining that whatever they buy that day would be with them year around. As such he wants Divya's love – Anbu! Divya jokingly adds that it won't be that easy to get. Sakthi is very confident since he has the anbhai peruvathatkana vazhi (bribe) – it turns out to be a platinum ring. Divya is elated – jus then Sakthi shares another love poem! She gets him to put it on her ring finger! He asks if she likes it – Divya nods, but he wonders if she only likes the ring, to which Divya replies that she likes him too. Sakthi gives her a romantic look…..
A village woman calls (phone) Ayya and exclaims that her husband has suffered a massive heart attack, and needs some money. Ayya calms her down and offers to send the money to them asap!
Next morning, Vaish offers coffee to Ayya, who wonders why she isn't studying. Vaish lies that she's no longer going to school till next year. Ayya wonders why, but then finds out that she's on holidays! Just then he notices Divya anxiously looking for Sakthi. After a while, he informs her that he had sent Sakthi away to the hospital with the money, and that since it was too late last night, Sakthi couldn't inform her. He tells her to call Sakthi if she wishes to talk to him. She tries to call him several times, but his mobile is switched off. Divya is a little upset!
Divya is sitting alone in the living room, and visitors (a husband and wife) come to the house to invite Ayya's family for their daughter's wedding. Even though no one (other than Divya) is in the house, Divya still warmly welcomes them and offers them drinks. The visitors wonder who she is, and hence Divya explains that she is Sakthi's fianc. The couple then offer the wedding card and request Divya to pass he message to the rest of them. Divya too happily accepts the invitation! In the meantime, the wife thinks it is wrong for the couple to live in the same house after engagement (perhaps something bad might happen). She tells Divya about it and wonders what Ayya had to say about it. Divya is a little frightened hearing this, hence the husband scolds the wife and they leave.
Ayya, along with two of his men, come to the house. He requests the men to stay for lunch, and calls his wife. However, she isn't home yet (went to a ceremony), but Divya informs that she's already cooked and hence offers to serve them. Ayya and the men enjoy the food, and praise her! She is elated!
While Ayya is in the car, he spots MA's dad. Ayya soon goes to him and tells how happy he was to hear MA's dad stopping by their house to talk about MA's marriage. He further shows interest in having MA's marriage on the same day as Sakthi – Divya. MA's dad is irritated, and tells Ayya that he's got a lot to talk about. Ayya wonders what the matter is, but MA's dad maintains that he'd stop by the house some other time. Ayya is a little confused.
Divya with her MIL (Sakthi's mom)! MIL tells her how much Ayya scolded her (MIL) for not being around and also for not cooking yummy meals like the one Divya made. Divya is flattered but still thinks that MIL is just praising her. Soon Divya begins that matter about her and Aish leaving to Chennai. MIL gets a little mad hearing this, and wonders if anyone had said anything. She then tells her about what the visitor said that morning. MIL explains that Ayya has so much faith on Sakthi and Divya, hence he didn't mind that couple staying at the same house. More over, she requests Divya not to worry about any of these things and that they'd take care of it.
Sakthi's mom tells Ayya about the arrival of Vaish's parents from Mumbai in a couple of days (guys they're gonna bring new people). Ayya is happy to hear the news, since he missed his brother so much. Just then, Vaish nags Aish to say something to Ayya, but the latter is scared. Seeing this, Ayya wonders what the matter is. Before she opens up, Aish gets him to promise that he'd give whatever they ask for, and once he promises her, she tells them about taking Vaish with them when they leave for Chennai. Ayya freaks out at them scarring the two, but soon laughs and gives them permission to take Vaish along. The girls are happy, and so is Sakthi's mom, but the latter adds that once the girls leave, she'll be bored. The screen freezes on Sakthi's parents.
