Monday episode was surprised to see Juhi in a full length sleeve salwar kameez. She looked gorgeous.

All types of dresses suit Juhi be it western or Indian. She can carry it off well. very few people have that grace and ability to look perfect in whatever they wear

Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton has been advised by the Queen to take up a job as it would enhance the image of the Prince. NT checks out how the social perception has changed towards the working women

BARKHA MATHUR

We have come a long way since the time the woman of the house went out to work simply to augment the family income. Today, a working woman is not merely perceived as someone who adds to the family kitty but also seen as an intelligent and valuable human resource. And this has been confirmed by none other than the Queen of Britain who has asked Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton to take up a job, as it would help the Prince's public image. NT talks to some celebrated working women to know their viewpoints on this development.

Changing times

Noted author and playwright Manjula Padmanabham finds the term 'working women' strange. She says, "Majority of women around the world have been working for 18 hours a day, doing domestic chores. What has changed for the better now is that the women, who were earlier dependent on their parents or husbands, are now being encouraged to earn a living."
Supercop Kiran Bedi is a shining example of how women have dispelled myths about themselves and changed the way they are perceived. She says, "Women have realised the value of self-reliance. They educate themselves and go to work in order to be completely self-dependent. It is all about economic empowerment. Through this, they realise their inherent potential and create space for themselves and ultimately enhance social prosperity."

On a high

Giving a big thumbs up to working women is entrepreneur Radhika Mukherji, wife of singer Shaan. She feels that being self-reliant gives you a high. "I was a housewife for six years after marriage, till the time my son Soham grew up. It used to kill me whenever I was asked to mention my occupation and had to write 'housewife'. It is only when I opened a store of my own that I felt complete, in spite of the fact that I had my hands full managing home and kids. I think today women have learnt the art of balancing their home and career. Even men today flaunt a working wife."

Power dressing

The changing dressing style of working women is also making a statement these days. Well-known fashion designer Ritu Kumar endorses this fact. She says, "Since she is more exposed to different situations, a
working woman learns to get tough, develops an individualistic style and builds upon her confidence. This also reflects in the manner in which she dresses up herself. As a designer I have seen a sea change in the fashion trends that professional women follow and the trends that they set these days."
Television serials and films too are mirrors that reflect these changes in perception. Actress Juhi Parmar, who plays the role of a good bahu taking upon herself the role of a breadwinner in a popular serial, says, "Being a professional adds to the aura of womanhood. Even the scripts of serials today reflect a changed mindset towards working women. It is no longer essential to show a housewife as a goody-goody woman and a working woman as the one with negative shades. That's because a working woman has proved her versatility and mettle."

an another mindblowing episode.

perfect expressions by huju

the best scene was the one in her thoughts of  firm strong decision not to falter she dashes su who was rock solid never to move from there till he had his say.

Mini was outstanding.

so looks like it will are they ending the track like the KKHT  salman giving kajol to srk. i dont want that

both the fathers are devoid of logic.

as fas as su is concerned is pain is apparent and he shows it his love and anger.

it is nice to see a different story where one makes the other rediscover and open up their love for each other

while kk her pain and agony is within herself she doesnt want to show her pain and love because she has lost confidence that will it be ever right to marry su when Omi already said he doesnt ever want kk has his bahu. and again they did show Omi's resentment.
