Heyy friends!
I just saw a Telly Buzz article on education and it got me thinking.
Education is the most important thing in the development of a child, but also in the development of a country. Through education, a country can move forward and progress in the world.
If the education in India was focused on, our country would be on the top and able to provide a better life for its population.

At the moment: the average literacy rate: 64.8% - meaning only 648 out of 1000 people in India know how to read and write.
And already India has the third largest Gross Domestic Product (a way of measuring the size of an economy).
India also has one of the fastest growing economies in the world, with a growth rate of 9.4% (2006-7)!
So imagine what India could achieve if education levels were increased!

What are your thoughts on this?
Do you agree? Or do you feel there are other factors more important?
Please feel free to discuss and share your thoughts!

because high school doesn't come around when you're 25 years old and you realize that you will be working at mcdonalds for the rest of your life. your teenage years determine whether you make it or break it. the older you get, the harder it becomes for you to find the time, energy, and intellect to get into college. in my eyes, it's better to work hard now and party later. seriously, if you think about it, education is power, and power is money. we can all claim that money isn't everything, but the reality is that as the world economy changes, everyone finds the need to gain as much money as possible. things are only getting worse day by day, and your parents have witnessed this, which is why they're pushing you to learn as much as you can.
