"So who gets the first 'first' date?" Neha asks Sharad.
"Do I have to choose?" Sharad asks bewilderedly.
"Of course, it's only fair right?" Simran rolls her eyes.
"You're really spiteful aren't you?" He asks her.
"It's complicated. I'm not spiteful; it's more like...I don't know why you're flirting with all of us." Simran says directly.
"I'm a friendly guy," Sharad says defending himself.
"Okay, I'll change my mind as I get to know you." She says.
"So you want to be the first date?" Sharad asks her.
"I told you before and I'll tell you again, I'm not interested in being a part of this." She says, gathering up her stuff.
Sharad turns and looks at Rushvi. "Will you be the first one then?"
Rushvi can feel her insides melting as he looks at her with his intense gaze. "Sure."
"Great, I'll pick you up tonight at 7?" Sharad asks her.
"Sure, you know where the girl's hostel is?" Rushvi asks him.
"Yeah, I have a fair idea." Sharad says, smiling while looking at Simran.
She looks away, and walks towards her next class, right as the bell rings.
Nishi looks at Anik, and they both get up and hold hands while walking to the library.
"I love the fact that we have spare together." Nishi says, leaning her head on his shoulder.
"You know I love that too." He says slipping his hand around her waist.
"Can you believe it's only the second day of school, and Sharad's already making his way through the group?" Nishi laughs.
"I can actually. He gives off that vibe of being a total flirt!" Anik says.
"Will you ever say anything nice about him?" Nishi asks.
"Nope, not until I know for sure, that he's not after you!" Anik laughs.
Shaili, Neha and Maya all get up and start walking towards their lockers.
"Aren't they both adorable?" Shaili asks, gesturing to Anik and Nishi.
"They really are." Maya agrees. "I want that with Sharad!"
"Don't we all?" Shaili laughs.
"Can you believe that he picked her over us?" Neha asks.
"Chill Neha. I thought you said it doesn't matter since, 'he's just a guy'?" Maya laughs. "And Rushvi's our friend!"
"Yes, but I mean—" Neha trails off.
"It's okay Neha, just leave it! We're all going to get at least one date with him. And then he'll choose just two of us!" Shaili tells her.
"So we're following the exact format of the show?" Maya asks. "He'll end up with one of us then?"
"No, unfortunately, until he truly falls in love with one of us, we can't make him choose one." Shaili says.
"I wish we could." Neha says, turning the combination on her locker.
"I know, so do I...but ugh whatever, anyways my next class is with him. I'll ask him then." Maya laughs, heading to her class.
In her next class
Maya walks in smiling, seeing him sitting there.
"Hey Sharad." Maya smiles, what she thinks is a flirty smile.
"Hey Maya, you ready for the assignment?" He winks at her.
She feels herself going faint, then holds onto the desk for support. "Yeah, totally. I made copies to hand them out."
"Good idea." He says, putting his hand on hers on the desk.
"So you picked Rushvi huh?" Maya asks, trying to be nonchalant about it. "Don't know why you did? I mean yes she's one of my best friends, but I mean I thought me and him had a special connection!"
Sharad suppresses his smile hearing her thoughts. "I thought it'd be best. Because I already feel like I have something special with you." "Damn Sharad, you can lie through your teeth! "And with Shaili, I just met her this morning, so it'd be a little awkward, even though I felt something with her too."
"Thanks." She blushes a bit, then tries to get back to normal. "Then why not Neha?"
"Same thing, I felt something there."
"So you felt nothing with Rushvi?" Maya asks, trying to catch him in a tough spot.
"I'm not saying that, I felt something with each of you; I mean this could be the start of a really great friendship." He leans closer to her ear. "Or even more."
What's Sharad's first bachelor date going to be like? And I know this wasn't a very exciting part. More of a filler! Please do leave comments!
