Recap: Ep 1

As we all expected the opening episode of Paanchvi Pass was amazing. Shah Rukh revealed the huge classroom to the audience by opening the big doors. It was like a never seen before classroom with a charming class teacher and lovely talented kids, who are going to help all the contestants throughout the season.

Vedula Ramalaxmi from Orissa, who is a professor and has done her PHD in Hindi, was the first student of this paanchvi class. She gave the wrong answer of the first question which was based on class 2 (Maths). But Sripo*na Ghoshal fortunately gave the correct answer and Vidula was saved because of the cheat (bachao).

Vedula, who confessed to being weak in Maths, managed to win 2 lakhs but had to agree that she is not smarter than a 5th grader. According to the SRK's deal she had to say this in front of the camera.

The next student was an English tutor, Pramod Kumar. On SRK's request he translated the Hindi song mere sapno ki rani in English and that too in hip-hop style. He became the roll over contestant for the second episode.

Overall, it was a fun episode with King Khan's spontaneous sense of humour being the main attraction.
