Sultan vs Badshah
No, it was not a personal clash. Rather superstars Rajnikanth and Shah Rukh Khan's animation films were pitted against each other at the recent NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) show in Las Vegas held on April 15.
Saundarya Rajnikanth's (Rajnikanth's daughter) Ochre studio made the approximately Rs 65 crore animation movie Sultan. This film was featured along with Shah Rukh's production house Red Chillies' VFX.
Both these films were featured in a section called Globalising Bollywood. NAB is a popular convention, which has more than one lakh professionals from all over the world showcasing their content. This enables them to distribute it worldwide.
When asked about it, Shah Rukh said, "I am aware that our film was featured along with Rajnikanth's animation film. I wouldn't look at it as competition. I would say it was a great honour."
