Deepika Padukone turns down Rani Laxmibai
OSO girl Deepika Padukone is quite busy with Bachna Ae Hasinoon and Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk to China and as a result has turned down the role of Rani Lakshmibai in a film co-produced by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala.
"She hasn't signed the film as yet. Though she was very excited to do the role her dates are blocked with other movies as she is doing a small cameo in Billo Barbar and also an item number," says a source close to the actress.
"She might sign the movie as from south also she is getting lots of offers so she's in a dilemma which movies she should take on," he adds.
Apart from Deepika, Sushmita Sen is also playing Rani Lakshmi Bai in her own home production while Nandana Sen will also essay the role of Rani Laksmi Bai in Ketan Mehta's film.
