sorry, it's not like she is doing it for free. she is charging for all the trouble she will go thru the conception, pregnancy, and delivery period. don't really see it as a selfless act when money is involved but agree on the red hi-lited partπ
As to her rights etc., it's a contractual affair - so she cant have any rights ultimately.
totally with u here.
Maybe there should be a cooling off period though.....to allow her to change her mind,
don't agree here. it won't be fair to the couple who hired her and paid her to get a baby outa her. once a contract is in place, there shd not be any going back on it w/o any penalties and repercussions. now, if she had some clause regarding going back on her decision in that contract to begin with and the couple gladly signed it....then it's a diff matter. but why would someone sign up on such terms if they really want a baby?
or certain criteria/rigourous screening to only allow certain women to be surrogat mothers, ie not first time mums perhaps.
this is subjective. u can't give the right to make money by rentig her womb to one woman and take it away from other just because she is not a mom yet. that wouldn't be equal opportunityπ can't be discriminating now unless some serious genetic or health problems persist. even then, it shd be the couple's (who r going for a baby) responsibility to make up that judgment call. can't have laws in place that prevent some women from renting their wombs out if they want to.
