Did she get a say in the decision? If not then its a forced marriage, not an arranged marriage.
It doesn't matter if it's an arranged marriage or a love marriage...both individuals still have to work at their relationship together and compromise in some situations. There isn't a guarantee saying that just because you have an arranged marriage, you will be more happy.
Here in the UK, alot of arranged marriages have failed just as many love marriages.

My vote too.
The only guarentee is in most arranged marriages is that there is the support of the family if somthing happend after marriage. Other than that there is no difference, we have to adjust, sometimes compromise in in both kind of marriages. As in every relationship, for the success of marriage also love, loyality, adjustment, compromise etc. are necessaary.

I don't agree with you there. I would say that family support is guaranteed because your family cares for you, irrespective of the kind of marriage you had. Even if you have gone against your family and got married, when the need arises your family will stand by you.
