Shahid Kapur , Kareena Kapoor and the crew of a Bollywood movie had plans to visit the Thai city Phuket for shooting, two days before the tsunami disaster struck countries in the Indian Ocean.
Shahid and Kareena were scheduled to be in Phuket on December 24 for the shooting of their movie Milenge Milenge. But their plan was fortunately cancelled after Shahid requested the producer Boney Kapoor to postpone the shoot as he wanted to stay in India for the release of his movie Dil Maange More on the New Year's Eve.

Director Satish Kaushik and choreographer Ahmed Khan were also part of the team to fly to Phuket.
"We could have been one amongst the thousands killed in the Tsunami wave… The hotel we had booked on the beach doesn't exist anymore and the mere thought of it gives me goose bumps," Shahid is quoted to have told a website.
Meanwhile, Bollywood has come forward to offer all possible help for the tsunami victims. Celebrities like Subhash Ghai , Vivek Oberoi and Amitabh Bachchan are doing their bit to help the people in this time of tragedy.
