It starts with a chawlwala telling dadi, Veena and Kk about how
their hopes have come crashing down with the building's falling
down. Dadi wonders as to how such a strong bldg cud fall and KK says
it cannot just fall and it must have required barood .....Mummyji
makes a face and says that this cud be one more of Harpic's dirty
tricks but that guy ( Raghu's dad, I think) says no no he toh had
wanted to improve our lot and he did so much for us - why wold he do
something like this but KK says - one thing is ure that this bldg
didn't fall on its own. Definitely it was some kind of dynamite etc
etc etc.
Reporters are in Ho Ha's office and are clamouring to get a
clarification from him. Ho Ha enters and the reporters lay the blame
on KK and Ho Ha ( typpppical idiotic teeth gnashing style ) says '
No way - nobody will blame KK etc etc' and promises to do good for
the Chawl walas. Exits and goes to his office and develops his usual
mad man looks and says Please Chanda - don't make me do such things
which upset u again - I just cannot bear it.
Chawlwalas are discussing that its all due to Su-Ku that the
building has fallen and they are w/o their homes and hey say its
bec'z Ho a was insulted in that party that this happened. Raghu is
listening to this and argues but they all tell him to keep quiet.
Raghu spots Vr coming and goes to her and asks her whethere the man
she loves will marr her. Vr recalls that shot of her opening her
eyes on that night and finding Sexy Su next to her on the bed and
also Sexy Su vehemently denying next morning about any such thing.
She gets tears in her eyes and wals away with Raghu watching her....
KK making coffee ......Su comes near her and asks her what she is
doing. KK says I am making coffee - she is looking very , very
upset. Sexy Su says - leave it, I'll make it. KK is in tears and
<> says that the fall of this building has made my life a torture .
Daily I have worked with that monster for 10-10 hours and when the
work was complete this happens - I just cannot take it anymore. Su
consoles her but she is really upset ( as u said Ruch the lady is
suddenly behaving damsel-in-distress-ish and not our usual Devi-
mata).....Su takes her firmly in his arms and tells her that see in
my eyes - will see a new , fresh hope and u will realize that all
this will end SOON. KK just hugs him tiiiight ( Hug No? 91?) and
says just take me in ur arms and never leave me . When u r with me ,
I feel safe.....
Just then Monkey Vr enters and sees Su-Ku in a tight hug and stops
short. Su is saying to KK that I am always with u - I love u etc etc
and Vr gets tears in her eyes and goes out . Stands in that balcony
with silent tears and Raghu sees her from down and she sees him too
but brushes away her tears.......
Chawl-walas come to Su-Ku and start hurling abuses and what-not. KK
goes in and closes the door and Su screams at the chawl walas to
just shut up and to stop their selfishness at once. He tells them
how much they ( Su-Ku )have borne just for their sake while they
have always been thankless. Says how much KK hates that Ho Ha but
still works with him just for the sake of the chawl people......KK
is listening to all this with tears.....
The argument continues and finally a woman says to Sexy Su cryingly
that ok, if u r so honourable then just get our contribution of 9
Lakhs back - we don't wnat any flat etc - just our money back
please.......KK hearing this silently resolves something.
Ho Ha is in his office and is asking about why KK has still not
come. Just then KK storms insde in his office and confronts him
about his deeds - why has he done this to the hopes and dreams of
the poor chawl people. Ho Ha just listens and asks her to calm down <>
but KK raves and rants. Ho Ha then says ok - u had a choice. U cud
come and lay the blame at my door but what about me? Whom do I
complain to? Look at me - my building as fallen and yet I only get
blamed for it.....KK says that u really are the scum of the Earth
and u shud be atleast scared of God. But Ho Ha says I am not worried
about what God thinks of me - I am only concerned about one person
and that is U ....what u think of me is important and there are some
more dialogues and KK looks at him throughout with disgust. And then
Ho Ha says for u , I will promise that the building will be ready
withing 30 days and u urself will inaugrate it.
