Summary for the week of April 3rd, April 10th and April 17th - Bidaai
Somehow Mamaji handles the awkward situation. In order to make Alekh overcome his fear of roses, Mamaji gives him rose water to smell, to which Alekh responds very well. Vasu is relieved to hear of Alekh accepting a rose fragrance, and all become hopeful of his recovery. Ranvir gets a well known dr's appointment for Alekh to help him recover soon. One day Malti's cousin, Shlok a psychiatrist from London arrives at mamaji's house for a Dr's conference in Agra and he meets Alekh and Sadhna there. That's when they realize that Alekh and Shlok were childhood friends who grew up together, till Alekh fell ill after which even Shlok left town with his family. Mamaji is hopeful that Shlok would be the perfect dr to treat Alekh, since he knows his past more than anyone else. But when Mamaji puts forth his suggestion to Vasu and the others at Rajvansh house, Vasu goes berserk and accuses Mamaji of interfering unnecessarily. Sadhna gets enough with all the bickering and she announces that she is the person who is entitled to decide what's best for Alekh. Ranvir and Vasu are hopeful that Sadi will chose the reputed dr from Delhi, but all are left speechless when Sadi chooses Shlok instead. Vasu expresses her disappointment and anger in Sadi's decision. Ranvir gets upset too, but Ragi makes him see why she took this decision and he finally decides to support Sadi. Sadhna takes Alekh to visit Shlok at mamaji's house, and the trio go out for lunch together. While there, Shlok brings up Alekh's liking for roses when he was a kid. That's when Alekh remembers how much he used to love roses that his mom gave him every day. Finally, on Shlok's insistence, he builds up the courage to hold a rose and put it on Sadi's hair, so as to prove that he is a good husband to her. Vasu is shocked to the core when she learns of this, and expresses her excitement and joy to the whole family. All at the Sharma's and Rajvansh's are hopeful that Alekh will make a full recovery after seeing how easily Shlok made Alekh overcome his fear of roses. Ranvir suggests to Vasu that Shlok be introduced to all the family members and provided with more details on Alekh, and Vasu agrees on it.
Shlok continues Alekh's treatment by taking him to his old school, where Alekh reminisces of good and bad memories which he narrates to Shlok. The Rajvansh's are impressed with Shlok's progress. Alekh makes the decision of going to office with Ranvir meanwhile Sadhna dreams of Alekh completely normal. One day while returning from a trip to school, Sadi/Alekh/Shlok stop for ice cream. When Shlok leaves to go home, Sadhna & Alekh are confronted with a group of goons. Shlok comes to save them, but in the struggle Sadhna gets shot.
Summary for the week of May 1st
Sadhna is rushed to the hospital and the Sharma's and Rajvansh's are alerted of the accident. Everyone gathers there in worry for Sadi, while Alekh refuses to talk to anyone since he blames himself for Sadi's accident. Ambika catches Naveen-Avni joking about the accident. Everyone is delighted to see Sadhna wake up, but her eyes only search out Alekh... who deliberately avoids her due to his immense guilt. Hearing the Rajvansh's discuss how grateful they are to Shlok, Alekh feels worse.
Summary for the week of May 8th and May 15th
The feelings of guilt in Alekh rise by each passing day, but he pretends to be ok in front of the family. All are oblivious to his pain, and when Sadi returns home from the hospital, they are glad to see a mature change in his behavior. The Rajvanshs' hold a grand party for Sadhna and Alekh, where Alekh expresses his gratitude to everyone for making a positive difference in his life. But no one realizes that this was Alekh's goodbye to them. While all are distracted at the party, Alekh leaves home so that Sadi can live a happy life she deserves. Frantic and worried, the Rajvanshs' set out a search for him, but to no avail' until Sadhna and Shlok find him at a temple. Alekh confesses to Sadi why he left her and Sadi assures him that he is the best husband a girl could wish for. They return home and all are glad to have Alekh safe back with them.
Summary for the week of May 22nd, May 29th, and June 5th –
Even though back with his family, Alekh still considers himself misfit to be Sadi's husband. Seeing him sad and to himself often, Sadi w/ the help of others decide to cheer him up with a cricket match. Alekh is excited at the match, but it saddens him when he realizes that he is losing the match and once again failing Sadi. In order to make Alekh not feel inferior, Shlok deliberately loses the match to Alekh. But Alekh learns the truth soon and this makes matters worse. All are clueless as to why Alekh doesn't seem cheerful in spite of winning the match. Malti's mom, a bitter woman just like her daughter, comes to town for a visit, and doesn't miss any chance to humiliate anyone that comes her way. Ragini is worried by Ranvir's distant behavior towards her, but he assures her that he will confide in her when the time's right. Mami is troubled by Ranvir's attitude. Alekh finally realizes what he needs to do and that is to find a perfect dost for his Sadhna. He pursues his search which ends in Shlok, whom he thinks is the one.
