anyone read the book lord of the ring?

Yep, read the Books and watched the movies.

The Fellowship of the Ring was first published in 1955, I think.

then can u tell me wat the story is all i know is its abouit somering but im Confused i tried reading the book but i get confused and stop reading

Hi Manjot--basically LOTR is the sequel to "The Hobbit"  If you go to this website, it will summarize "The Hobbit" (make sure you scroll down for the summary) and it has links at the bottom of the page for summaries for all 3 books in the LOTR series. Here's the website:

The books are excellent.. It does tend to get confusing sometimes. If thats the case, watch the movies. They're great too..

i didn't have the patience to read the books but i saw the movies. they were cool.lol.
