I don't know a whole lot abt this but only thing I have heard is Manglik should marry manglik orsomeone having same dosha. Hard for me to explain b/c I am noJyotish Hope explanation below helps.
Mangal Dosha is an astrologica l condition that occurs if Mars is in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house of the Vedic astrology lunar chart. A person born in the presence of this condition is termed a manglik.
This condition is believed by some to be devastating for marriage, causing discomfort and tension in relationship, leading to separation and divorce, and in some cases, it is believed to cause untimely death of one spouse. This is attributed to the "fiery" nature of this planet. If two mangliks marry, the negative effects are believed to cancel each other out. However, Mars is not the only planet in Vedic Astrology that is supposed to affect the relationship and these effects should be seen in a broader perspective of overall astrological compatibility.
There is also a belief that the negative consequences for a single-manglik marriage can be resolved if the manglik first performs a ceremony called a kumbh vivah, in which the manglik "marries" a banana tree, a peepal tree, or an icon of Vishnu</A&g t;.

No, not necessarily. What Varsha meant was if mangal is in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house of your horoscopic chart or kundli (one according to your birth date and time) only then you'll be manglik.
We dont make kundlis so don't have much idea about it, however read something during Aish-Abhi marriage time. I wonder if mangal is required to be in all those houses while there is only 12 houses in a kundli , half of the population must be mangalic.
Ok now seriously ........... I don't believe in any such astrological things.
I think there is a possibility to predict about some features of personality.. and may be on basis of such personality features, one can predict the likely hood of a person's life style
For eg, what I read (plz do correct me here if I have any wrong information) about mangalic thing , is that such people are short tempered. and a bit rigid .. so may be there is a chance of problem in marriage not because of any star or something but because of these two personal triats. People tend to change with life and experiences. so if they develop a change then anything is possible despite , whatever the star says. For eg, it is said , if a person married before , there wouldn't be a problem in second marriage. to me it is again indicating a change in personality itself , rather than position of mangal in birth chart

. Wonder if a jeweler has anything to do with astrology. Everyone seems to have faith in rings to thwart bad luck, AB seems to wear huge boulders on all his fingers sometimes. I mean why can't it be something like adopt an orphan or sponsor education for underpriviledged. ?
