Once again, the Big B has taken on more on his cluttured plate than humanly possible. He'll be doing the voice-
over as the narrator in Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodhaa-Akbar.
Ask him if he's doing it because of Bahu Aishwarya Rai's presence and the Big B demurs, "No, that's not the
reason. I had also done the voice-over for Ashutosh Gowariker's Lagaan. In Jodhaa-Akbar I'll be serving as the
narrator."
Ashutosh Gowariker who had to brave the lavish music release on 9 Jan in spite of a bad back says the Big B was
the only choice for the narration. "It had to be someone who could convey both the gravity and historicity of the
era."
Is Mr Bachchan being brought in because the film's editing needs explanation? "No no not at all," laughs
Ashutosh.
"It isn't because of the editing at all. It's just that the historical details need to be punctuated.
And who better equipped for the task than Amitji?"
Denying widespread reports on Monday that Abhishek had bought a house where he he intended to move with his
wife Aishwarya, Abhishek says, "It is not true at all."
Refuting reports that Abhishek Bachchan has bought a flat in Vashu Bhangani's building pat opposite the
Bachchans' residence Jalsa, the producer-turned-builder turns emotional.
"I've never come across a more devoted son than Abhishek. Not even my own son Jackie. It really hurts me to see
my name dragged in as a home-breaker. I shudder to think how I'd react if my son got married and decided to
move out.
Abhishek would never do that. As for buying an apartment in my building….arrey, he doesn't
have to BUY one. All he has to say is send him the keys, and it's his. That's the kind of rapport we
share."
Getting more emotional Vashu continues, "When I bought land opposite Amitji's bungalow it was a dream come
true. That's why I named the building Pinnacle Dreams. I wanted people who wanted to share my dream of living
close to Jalsa to buy apartments in my building."
Omce news was out that apartments were available opposite the Bachchans' residence, Vashu had a tough time
keeping the crowds of buyers away. "All the apartments in Pinnacle Dreams were sold out eight months ago.
There's no vacant apartment except one which I've kept for myself, and that I'd happily give to Abhishek
anytime. But he hasn't asked me for it! In fact many interested persons including Pritish Nandy have called to
inquire about place in Pinnacle Dreams. Now I'm building a high-rise apartment in front of the J W.
Marriott."
Vashu intends to return to film production this year, for his son Jackie's sake.
"My son Jackie will be launched by Vivek Sharma (who's currently helming Bhootnath with the Big B for producer
Ravi Chopra) in a film called Kal Kissne Dekha. The film starts shooting in June."
Bhagnani Jr's leading lady is in the process of being finalized. One of the strong contenders is Vedika who's done
some South Indian films.
Says the proud father, "I've been preparing the boy for six years now. He has been trained in every thing possible.
But of course you can't fool the audience. If Jackie isn't good he'll be rejected."
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will now be seen as the queen of Hindustan Jodhaa Bai in Ashutosh Gowarikar's much-
awaited film 'Jodhaa-Akbar' due for release soon.
The actress has completed her work and now on a holiday in Jaipur where her husband is shooting for for Dilli 6.
Everyone knows that AbhiAsh love to travel together and hence having a good time.
Apart from watching Abhishek in action, Ash takes care of his food and costumes on the sets.
Still very much-in-love couple also frequently indulge in public display of affection and are known to go for romantic

Ash Joins Abhi for Rajasthan Holiday |
Not too long ago, hubby Abhishek Bachchan was seen following his wife
Aishwariya around the globe as she went about her assignments. And now
it's Ash's turn. The actress is holidaying in Jaipur while hubby
Abhishek is shooting for Dilli 6. The doting wife is believed to have immediately joined her husband just after Jodha Akbar's music release. She accompanies Abhishek to the sets and is extremely friendly with Dilli 6's cast and crew, specially leading lady Sonam Kapoor and director Rakesh Mehra. According to sources, ash has no major assignments and films at this moment an d intends to travel with Abhishek for the entire shooting schedule of Dilli 6. Apart from watching her husband in action, Ash is playing the dutiful wife and is taking care of his food and costumes on the set. And here's some more on Ash. It seems that father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan is planning to open a school for girls named after bahu in the Daulatpur village of Uttar Pradesh. He began toying with the idea soon after Abhishek got engaged to her and decided to go ahead with his plans once they were married. After the Allahabad court gave him a clean chit in the allotment of land in Daulatpur village of Barabanki land dispute, the actor is believed to have brought another piece of land adjoining the disputed plot and offered to donate it to the village council for a school building for girls. He has been discussing the school project with his friend Amar Singh and other close associates for a while. The school will be named Aishwariya Rai Bachchan School for girls. The construction will start once Ash comes and lays the foundation brick next month. |
