Sanji and acting: Sanjeeda acted in three South Indian movies before she started acting in TV. Sanjeeda turned down a role opposite south superstar Madhavan because she wanted to solely concentrate on her debut role  Nimmo at that time."I had to say no to Madhavan — he's a huge star down south — but since I wanted to give Nimmo my best, I had to turn down the offer."

Sanjeeda'a first TV serial was Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka where she played the title role of Nimmo.. an accident prone, sweet, lively character. Sanjeeda unlike other newcomers got very good reviews for her acting.( Sanjeeda, Ekta's new find, shows potential, and needs no lessons to brush up on the essentials like (Ekta's) other freshers do! Sanjeeda's now working in Kayamat. After Nimmo ended she refused many out-n-out positive characters in saas bahu soaps. She was choosy and wanted to try challenging roles on a condition that there is variety in them. After Nimmo she chose to play  the revengeful, agressive, negative, volatile character of Ayesha in Kayamath who was initially a positve character with a streak of aggression and tapori lingo in the show  (I want to do different kinds of roles because I feel that if I keep doing the same kind of characters, I as well as the people watching me will surely get bored. I do not want such a thing to happen."Plus I had faith in Ektaa's (Kapoor) vision. Besides Ektaa told me that Ayesha's was the role that had been specially conceptualised with me in mind," she reveals. Nimmo was a lead role, but I wish I get to do something different in future.I'm really happy that people still remember me as Nimmo, but I also want to build Ayesha's character. Sanjeeda now, will be seen in Pankh, a film directed by Shudipto Chatupadhya. The film which has been made under the banner of White feather Films also has, Mahesh Manjrekar and Bipasha Basu, Maradona Rebello in the lead roles. The film is a drama and has music composed by Raju Singh She didn't don any make-up for the film. Sanjeeda plays an aspiring actress who has a pushy mother at home in the film. Sanjeeda used to wake up in the morning, wash her face and just land up on the sets.Pankh is hard-hitting art house film which has been beautifully made. Sanjeeda didnt have a danc number in the film  'Paankh'; but the director is however, rethinking the script to fit a dance number in the movie as they sure want to capitalize on Sanjeeda's 'Nach Baliye 3' fame.



Sanji and Dancing:Sanjeeda along with real life beau Aamir Ali in celebrity dance based reality show Nach Baliye mesmerized viewers, judges, celebrity guests and charmed millions of hearts with their dance and chemistry. Sanjeeda and Aamir won the show  (voted as the best dancing jodi by audiences all over the world)

She loves dancing and conducted her own dance classes, before joining the tv industry. Sanjeeda has taken training in Bharatanatyam (classical dance form) and she used to teach fusion and western dance in a dance school. Sanjeeda's idea of staying healthy is ---' I have never been to the gym. I have always been into dancing, so I guess that keeps me in shape.

Once she was asked what she misses the most when she had to shoot for 10-12 hour stretch for her tvshows.. she replied DANCING. Sanjeeda's passion for dancing made Aamir Ali  sign nach baliye 3 even tough Aamir was scared of dancing.Aamir who has improved as a dancer  is thankful to his ladylove for it

"Sanjeeda is a fabulous dancer whereas I was a non-dancer. But I agreed to do the show because of Sanjeeda. I love her a lot," he reveals. But it's not been an easy journey for him. "I have worked quite hard on my dance. Being a weak dancer, matching Sanjeeda's steps and dancing in sync with her has not been easy. But I am glad that I have done reasonably well and as a couple we have done very well," he says.
