Strike Called Off

After 10 days the producers' strike has finally been called off. And all telly fans can heave a sigh of relief as the production houses will resume filming tonight itself so that fresh episodes can be aired from Monday onwards. We spoke to the vice president of the producer's association Dheeraj Kumar who heads Creative Eye a production house.

"For us the first good news is that the strike has been called off with appropriate decision. There were two worker unions involved in this issue. And now everyone have agreed over two things - job security meaning they will get insurance facilities as well as the fact that they will be under a one month contract which was not the case initially. Earlier they used to loose their jobs in 4-5 days without any notice or anything. However this will not happen after they will sign the contract," informs Dheeraj.

"Second thing is the hike issue. Now we have spoken to them about the current economical situation and they have agreed on a small rise in the percentage of hikes which will be 10 to 15 %," adds Kumar.

"The next issue was that the producers wanted a hike in their contract price from channels as well. So now an agreement has been brought about where they will first reduce their production cost ? like if one episode was taking 3 days to shoot now the production house will try to finish that episode in one and half day so that is how they themselves will not face any burden and they will not ask for more money to broadcasters also."

The shooting for all the shows will start from tomorrow (Thursday November 20, 2008) and the channels will air new episodes from Monday (November 24, 2008).

hi u ok? this is amarya from the uk. i just wanted to ask u 4 help if u could pass on a message to aamir ali plz. i have been trying 4 ages but cant get through to him. i thought u mite be able to help me get my message through to aamir ali. if u can get through to him then this is the message i want to pass on i wanna say to him i luv u soooooo much aamir i am crazy about & wish i could tell u how much i luv u. i just wanna say i miss watching u in kya dil main hai & ur acting in it was superb, all ur emotional scenes left me in tears. by the way u & sanjeeda make a very sweet couple, i wish u both all the best in the future. i will finish of by saying that i luv u soooooo much & take care of urself. bye lots of luv from ur die hard fan amarya xxxxxxxxxx plz plz i hav been trying 4 ages plz try 2 help me. i get so upset @ times & angry cae i cant pass on my message on to him. plz help me i sme times just want to kill myself because i cant pass my message on to aamir. sum 1 plz help me. thnks

Hey guys i am really upset and angry with SBS as they always show different type festival or religious holidays like ganaptia and many other Hindu festival and also Christmas, and they take interview of the star who are related to this religion but ...what i am upset and angry with SBS is that how can they forget about Muslim festival,as they know that Muslim's festival Ramadan is around now and they haven't show anything on the tv about it, as they know that they are many Muslim people in India and all over, and also in there many star who in the TV industry like Sara khan(Sadhna ) from bidaai, Hina khan(akshara) and Ather Habib (Shaurya) from yeh rishta kya kehlata hai its not fair for Muslim audiences who watch their show on TV. Also looks like care about their Muslim audiences. they have given a week to ganapati chaturthi but not even talked about RAMADAN.what do u guys think about this.?
