Now this is no mean achievement...the fact that U managed to finish War N Peace!!!Wink -thanks lakshmi!!!EmbarrassedI cant bind myself to read it coz the size really is tad intimidating...-just start reading it and youl find it to short and will be sorry that it ended soooo fast!!!! I have finished it in 11 days.Love Tolstoy's works though...- yah his really great!Anna Kernina is just amazing, wud love to read W&P n Ressurrection...all the best in your reading!!!!!!!!ClapClapSmile

anyway I am going the wild goose way...
I dun really read too many novels that can be branded as "war related"...
I loved Les Miserables...it has the French war...

ohhh war novels are the best...some of them give you insight on how one perceives the war which helps you understand why it took place...i love Catch-22 ....its really awesome...

My favorite war novel HAS to be Margaret Mitchell's 'Gone With The Wind'.  Not just because I am interested in the American Civil War and AFrican American history but because of the richness of the narrative and the fascinating characters throughout.....
