Foreign bodies: Vivek Gomber who will play Simran's bua's anglicised son and Susanne Bernert to play a woman in love with him
Dr Simran (Nikki Aneja Walia), the main protagonist of the daily Astitva — Ek Prem Kahani (Zee), will have foreign guests at her doorstep soon.
From next week, Astitva has two international actors in the track —- Susanne Bernert from Germany and Vivek Gomber from Singapore.
Gomber will play Simran bua's (Anju Mahendru) son who is in love with an older woman who is also a divorcee (essayed by Gombher).
"The track will have the London-based bua land up in Mumbai along with her son and his girlfriend," says producer-director Ajai Sinha.
"After Simran's failed marriages, bua is worried and concerned about her son and his relationship. They arrive in Mumbai to talk things over with Simran and sort out the matter," he adds.
Incidentally Sinha met both the actors while shooting abroad. Bernert had featured in Sinha's film Stop! which was shot in Dubai.
"She is a German based in Dubai at the moment and had done a small role in the film. She is also into theatre," informs Sinha. While Gomber met Sinha while he was shooting in Singapore for Astitva earlier this year.
"Gomber will play the very anglicised son of the bua while Bernert will be shown as a woman so much in love with him that she has started learning Hindi," says Sinha.
Incidentally, the serial will be shot in London from January 15. "We will be shooting for about 10 days there which will see a major twist in the track. It will have bua and her son and her girlfriend at their home along with Simran," adds Sinha.
At present the soap has Parmeet Sethi as Dr Bryan make an entry and trying to brighten up Simran's life.
