One dirty fish can contanimate a pond?

 

That was a translation of this age old saying in hindi " Ek Gandi Machli Saare Taalab ko Ganda kar deti hai".

Gandi Machli is bassically reffered to a person in our society who has  negative / unhumanly way of leading thier lives, but people around them tend to get influenced with such being and slowly the whole society is negative / unhuman way of living.

Do you agree with this saying?  If yes, Why beings in soceity more influenced with negativity then positivity?

Is the reverse of this statement true?

 

 

The statement is true and the reverse is also true. Good and bad co-exist all the time.

One rotten apple can spoil the good ones in the basket, but yeah, one good apple may not be able to sustain itself against all rotten and may perish in the process. However, one good crop in the field, one good harvest, the farmer can cut down the tree producing rotten apples and plant new trees as well.

I donot agree!

Bad Fish cannot affect the pond.... if the other fishes are also good. If other fishes are also bad..then the magnitude of the dirt in the pond increases....

Anyone can get influenced only if they are weak...only weak persons or machilis...complain about other Machilis'... clever machilis.. identify that bad Machili and dump it....

BTW....where is the Pond is ..where is the Machili .....

 

Negative means bring instant fame and name so people get influenced with the result. But once someone realize the consequences of negative influence, he can try to change himself, if it is not too late.

I agree with the saying, yet disagree that society is always more influenced by negativity over positivity.   sometimes it is, while there are times when it opens its eyes and appreciates the elimination of dirty macchli..

Is the reverse of this statement true?

reverse would be?  clean machhli cleans up the pond?? 😆.. or one dirty fish can't stink up the pond?

any which way, it all depends on the origin, influence, overall talab contents and talab priorities 😆

 

 

We need a good fishermen n boats to catch like that fish... 😳

I do not think the analogy can be applied to humans society since we have the capacity to think.

There is always a negative influences in society. The criminals. The dark sheep in a family. The trouble maker in the school. However, are we negative as a society. Do all humans get criminally influenced. Does the whole family turn negative. Are all students in a school unruly.

As long as we have the capacity to think and make moral choices, the negative influence is equal to a positive one.

A piranha can eat/kill a lot of fellow fishes in a pond.

it is a two way thing. one bad person can spoil the whole society and similarly one good person can fix ppl around them.

but road for the good person is hard. it is hard for one good fish to stay alive for long in a dirty pond.

It may be hard, but it is not impossible.  The mettle of a good fish is tested if he fights the bad to stay alive for the better of the other fishes which come along. 

But as I type this, another thought crosses my mind...  If the pond is dirty because of the bad fishes, and they are the majority, dont they too need a pond to live in??  I mean merely because they are bad, do they need to die?  If not, dont they need a pond to live in?  If so, why not allow all the bad fishes to make thier pond and live in it and make a beautiful pond for the good fishes??
