Star Plus might be remembered for creating history in television with Ekta Kapoor's 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' which completed 8 years of success, it seems that Rajan Shahi's 'Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai' will be stepping ahead to reach till the margin.

A source told TellyCafe.com, "Rajan Shahi's 'Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai' has completed 700 Episodes of the show and had a blast on the sets by cake cutting ceremony. The entire cast and crew where present on the sets for the bash. All the new and old cast from the show were present at the moment."

Angad Hasija told us, "I am feeling great to be a part of such a successful show which has almost completed its 3 years of success with 700 episodes. I don't think, these days any of the shows on television will reach this mark. All I can say is 'Bidaai' is my first love and my love has made me proud today. Hope this show completes more successful episodes, as the time passes."

We tried hard to get in touch with Sara Khan and Parul Chauhan but they remained unavailable for their comments.

Let's see how far Rajan Shahi's show can go. Wishing his team loads of luck!

Bidaai to get a bidaai in November?

Bidaai is set to bid goodbye very soon. If sources are to be believed then the show will wrap up in the second week of November.

A source informs, "The show is all set to wrap up around November 13. It has been around for three years and recently completed 700 days. A number of changes were brought into the script. The rumour was on for quite some time now but Star Plus has now decided to pull it off air. The current TRPs have been ranging around 3.5-4 which by no means are a reason considering that it has always managed to stay in the list of top 5 shows on Star plus. However, the channel plans to launch a new show in that time slot which is why a sudden decision was taken up."

When contacted, Angad Hasija, one of the actors of Bidaai, seemed clueless. He said, "I have absolutely no idea about the show going off air. The production house has not informed us anything yet. This is news to me."

Shakuntalam Telefilms' or Sphere Origins' next is expected to launch in its place

If industry hearsay is anything to go by, Sapnaa Babul Ka Bidaai, the 9 pm daily soap and one of the highest TRP contributors on Star Plus for the last three years, will go off air from November 13.

After two and a half years of its run, the show ran into a seven-year leap that
brought its average ratings down by a kilometer. The show that recently completed 700 episodes witnessed its lowest ratings on the weekly TRP charts in the last two months.

Big break
The show, that made newcomers like Parul Chauhan, Kinshuk Mahajan, Angad Hasija and Sara Khan household names, was the story of fair and dark-skinned sisters, Sadhna and Ragini at the outset with various sub-plots. Khan and Mahajan quit Bidaai soon after the leap.

Sara KhanIt is said that the channel, known to retain shows for long, had planned to allot the current Bidaai slot to a new show, and shift Bidaai to the afternoon slot; the same strategy applied to their previous primetime show, Raja Ki Aayegi Barat. It is learnt that the channel has commissioned has over six shows and is looking to empty occupied slots in the primetime, late primetime and early primetime slots.

When asked to comment on Bidaai's exit, Vivek Bahl, executive creative director, Star, without confirming or denying the news, says, "Bidaai is the highest-performing 3-year-old show on a Hindi GEC. Its ratings are decent. We will take a call on its future at the appropriate time." Rajan Shahi, the producer of the show says, "I have no idea about this, I am in a long meeting right now and cannot speak any further."

Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai

Star Plus is finally going to say good bye to one of its most popular show 'Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai'. The Rajan Shahi's show is set to take 'bidaai' from the channel on November 13 in India and by November end in UK.

As per the reports, the decision of closing the show was taken by the channel 'Star Plus'. This may come as shocking news to many of 'Bidaai' fans as the show was still getting good ratings. But, the channel wants to replace it with a new show and they are adamant on this decision.

Initially, there were lots of talks to move the show to an afternoon slot but the idea was rejected.

Recently, 'Bidaai' has completed 700 successful episodes
. The show has been airing on Star Plus since October 8, 2007. Since last three years, viewers have offered lost of love to the show and its characters. The story of two sisters touched everyone starting from a housewife to a young college student as it was a story of four youths.

Sara Khan and Parul Chauhan became popular as Saadhna and Ragini, the two female lead characters. Actors Angad Hasija and Kinshuk Mahajan were known by all as Alekh and Ranvir. Recently, the show had a seven year leap and following this, the show missed Saadhna and Ranvir, who opted to move out of the show.

A new drama produced by Sphere Origins' or Shakuntalam Telefilms, is likely to replace 'Bidaai'.

So, are you ready to face 'bidaai' of 'Bidaai'?

Apoorva Agnihotri and Parul Chauhan in the serial
Competition's getting fierce and channels are going all out to fight each other. Serials that aren't doing well are shown the door in no time.

And now serials that are doing well too are getting axed in a bid to start newer shows to boost gross rating points (GRPs). There's buzz that the three- year-old Sapna Babul Ka... Bidaai will go off air next month and the channel's looking to replace it with a new show in the prime-time slot. The serial actors are hoping there's no truth to the buzz.

Parul Chauhan, who plays Ragini, said, "I have heard these rumours, but the cast hasn't received any formal notice regarding the show going off air." She added, "Our show has always received good TRPs, so I don't see why it should be shut. Usually when a serial ends, the production company notifies the cast and crew a month in advance, and this hasn't happened in our case. So we guess somebody is spreading these rumours."

Actor Kinshuk Mahajan, who is currently doing Chaand Chupa Baadal Mein, has been keeping his love life under wraps. Kinshuk has always maintained that he is single despite having a girlfriend.

She's not from the industry and one has never seen her at telly parties or events. But the two are getting married soon, we hear. Recently there was a roka too that took place. But Kinshuk would still like to maintain that he is single! We wonder why! Is it because of the fear of losing out on his female fan following? If that's the case, it's indeed hilarious because on television it doesn't really matter whether an actor is single, dating or even married.

Maybe Kinshuk has got influenced by his colleague from BidaaiAngad Hasija, who kept his marriage a secret for a very long time! What's wrong with these guys? It seems like they are taking their fame a bit too seriously. Honestly, the women are not bothered we would like to tell them.
