I respect your views CKY Smile...Govt takes soomuch pain in releasing some funds for education, hospital ,roads in rural areas..they have very big methodology..to release that funds....but these above rewards and awards....given very easily..Yes! appreciation for the efforts of the players is essential..but is it necessary to give this much ??? Whose money are they giving???Its indirectly the money of the citizens......
Huh! Imagine the agony of pensioners...(particularly..the sub urban old employees who really take lot of pains..who need to go very difficult methodology..to get the little amount of pesnsion they need to get)..
Imagine..the agony of farmers....it really bothers..seeing their worry..they don't get quality power..they don't get good quality of seeds inspite of spending money..when they beg for loans..they don't get them easily ...the loan amounts are not some lakhs..they will be in some thousands.....GOVT DOES NOT REACT EASILY to these type of situations......which are really issues of life and death!!! That's why I say these administrators are Morons...
Regarding the aam janta....Don't regret saying that word Moron( a person with less common sense Smile)...Yes! Celebrate the victory/ Display your emotions....but celebrate /display in sensible manner..the same janta...burnt the effigies of all the cricketers..the same janta...broke all the bricks of the walls of DHONI 's new house which was under construction....becuase of poor performance of DHONI in then WORLD CUP....Smile

Myth,

There is a saying... 2 wrongs don't make a right. If the administrators can't correct their loan system doesn't mean that they should stop giving awards to those who bring pride and glory to the country just because they missed their KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) somewhere else. That doesn't sound right. I am not absolving the same administrators of their misdeeds. But it is one thing to identify a few chosen award deserving ones than weeding the needle from the haystack of farmers who are creditworthy. In absence of a credit rating system, I can see how awesome that task could be. To me, creating the election identification card is a step in the right direction which hopefully, in future, will give way to more systematized menthod of establishing identification of creditworthy people and a system of follow up and follow through.

But if I was an administrator, I wouldn't wait for that day to happen to reward the deserving peopleBig smile. Maybe it is my captalist instinct here speaking but I do believe in the "survival of the fittest" theory.Big smile

Just a point of viewWink.

And also, USA is not a country of foolish people to invest billions in a country of MORONSWink.

Indian Cricket Board is the most wealthiest  one in the world and it is not a Govt. Organization.Yes, it is peoiple's money but not collected as tax.  After the commercialisation of the Cricket they got this much money. Please think about the old cricketers, some of them are not well off. Govt.s offers are only offers at least in the case of Kerala.  Some of the back dated promises are yet to fulfill.

Nitasuni, I think Myth is referring to awards bestowed by the State Govts.Big smile

Hi.......... ....... Trust the fact???????? ?? I cant believe it!!!!

This is a real story of a young college girl who

passed away last month

in Chandigarh. Her name was Priya. She was hit by a

truck.

She was working in a call center. She had a boy friend

named Shankar.

Both of them are true lovers. They always talk on the

phone.
You can never see her without her handphone. In fact she

also changed her phone

from Airtel to Hutch, so both of them can be on the

same network, and save on the cost.

She spends half of the day talking with shankar.

Priya's family knows about their relationship. Shankar

is very close with Priya's family. (just imagine their

love) . Before she passed away she always told her

friends "If I pass away please burn me with my

handphone" she also said the same thing to her

parents.

After her death, people couldnt carry her body,

A lot of them tried to do so but still couldn't.Everybody had tried to carry the body, the result

was still the same. Eventually, they called a person who knew one of their neighbours, who could speak

with the soul of dead person, who is a friend of her father.

He took a stick and started speaking to himself slowly.

After a few minutes, he said "this girl misses something here." Then her

friends told that person about her intentions to burn her with her phone. <>

He then opened the grave box and place her phone and sim card inside the

casket. After that they tried to carry the body. It could be moved and

they carried it into the van easily.

All of us were shocked. Priya's parents did not inform Shankar that

Priya had passed away.

After 2 weeks Shankar called Priya's mom.....

Shankar :...."Aunty, I'm coming home today. Cook something nice for me.

Don't tell Priya that I'm coming home today, I wanna surprise her."

Her mother replied..... "You come home first, I wanna tell you

something very important."

After he came, they told him the truth about Priya.

Shankar though that they were playing the fool. He was laughing and

said "don't try to fool me - tell Priya to come out, i have a gift for her. Please stop

this nonsense".

Then they show him the original death certificate to him.

They gave him proof to make him believe. (Shankar started to sweat) He

said... "Its not true. We spoke yesterday. She still calls me.

Shankar was shaking.

Suddenly, Shankar's phone rang. "see this is from Priya, see this...."

he showed the phone to priya's family. all of them told him to

answer. he talked using the loudspeaker mode.

All of them heard his conversation.

Loud and clear, no cross lines, no humming.

It is the actual voice of Priya & there is no way others could use her

sim card since it is nailed inside the grave box. They were so shocked and asked

for the same person's (who can speak with the soul of deal persons) help

again. He brought his master to solve this matter.

He & his master worked for 5 hours.

Then they discovered one thing which really shocked<>

them...

Hutch has the best coverage.

Where ever you go, our network follows!!!

Dhoni's dad: 'Achcha laga'

Vaihayasi P Daniel | September 20, 2007 | 12:09 IST

It has been a busy, exciting two days at the sleepy Shyamali Colony in
Doranda, north Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand.

Cameramen and journalists have been impatiently swarming about a modest
home, fronted by beds of flowers, in this staunchly middle-class
neighbourhood. And a posse of Jharkhand police have hovered protectively,
making certain peace is maintained. In town, a few kilometres away, fans
have been delightedly distributing mithai.

This season of jubilation has not affected the residents of this quiet
home -- Pan and Devki Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's parents.

They are, as always, calm and collected.

Pan Singh, who only heard the news of his son's appointment as India's ODI
captain, when the story broke on television does not overflow with
emotions when rediff.com spoke to him on Wednesday night. "Achcha laga",
he says.

Says a friend of the family: "They are very down to earth people. Always
cool and composed. Never the type of people to get very happy or very sad.
His mother was somewhat more jubilant."

The Uttarakhand Association in Ranchi held a small puja a few streets
away, on Tuesday, to celebrate the success of one of their own. Dhoni's
family migrated to Ranchi from Almora in Uttarakhand. Pan and and Devki
Singh attended the puja.

The taciturn Pan Singh says he has not had an opportunity to speak to his
son yet. Nor is he sure when he will meet him next. Ever since Dhoni began
playing cricket nationally his time has not been his own -- hectic
schedules and Ranchi's awkward flight connections have not permitted that
many visits home.

Pan Singh denies feeling any anxiety for the expectations that will
henceforth be placed on his son, now that he leads the Indian team against
the world champions in a domestic series next month. His outlook is to
take things as they come.

The boy from Ranchi

When Dhoni's new home, which is still under construction a few kilometres
away, was attacked by a mob unhappy with his performance in World Cup 2007
in March, it was a trying time for the family. The ups and downs of a
volatile public must be difficult for the parents to handle, but about
that too Pan Singh is more fatalistic than bitter.

"If the the public wants to behave that way, what can I do?" he says.
After the incident the family secured the full support of the Jharkhand
government, which is the reason for the presence of police at their home.

And are friends, family and fans surprised that this boy, with humble
roots in a small city of Jharkhand, is today the head of India's cricket
team? Says Dr Anil Kumar, a psychiatrist attached to the Ispat Hospital,
Shyamali Colony (where Dhoni was born), a long-time family friend and
fellow Uttarakhandi, "He was always passionately involved in cricket. And
very motivated."

Awesome Mahi

Meanwhile neighbours remember the cricket-crazy little boy who was always pleading for a chance to join any game played at the colony grounds. He ran errands, getting paan for folks in exchange for a chance to bat. Embarrassed

That eager youngster, who, since Monday, holds perhaps the most difficult job in India after the prime minister, was often denied a chance to bat because he was too small. LOL
