Amisha Patel snubbed big time

Amisha Patel is an intelligent girl but is she equally skilled actor? Looking at the list of recent her films it seems the gujju lass is running out of steam. Her Honeymoon Travels bombed at box office and the upcoming Bhool Bhulaiyaa promos don't even feature her.

Though she has high hopes from the film it seems Priyan has completely sidelined her for current rage Vidya balan. This has made Amisha extremely upset with director and even the producers T. Series.

Amisha plays the lead actress opposite Akshay Kumar however the posters show her standing with character actors like Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi and Paresh Rawal, whereas Vidya Balan is sitting pretty next to Akki despite being paired with Shiney Ahuja, the second lead.

According to sorces, Amisha was very upset when she saw the posters and immediately called Priyan but it was too late by then as all the posters were designed and sent for printing.

To add fuel to fire even the music CD covers carry the same design, so Amisha has decided not to promote the film.

Though Priyan maintains that he was not aware that Amisha was upset. He says, "I have seen the posters and the CD covers you are referring to, and if Amisha is hurt and feels let down then she has every right to be. These kind of things do let you down."

Amisha upstaged!

Amisha Patel's career is flat lining. And to add a slap to her injury, Vidya Balan [Images] has stolen her (distant) thunder in the film Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

The posters of Bhool have Vidya Balan sitting next to Akshay Kumar [Images], while Amisha is flanked by character actors Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi and Paresh Rawal.

These actors are surprisingly not complaining to being lined up next to Miss Patel. Really, who needs to be more offended here?

However, Amisha is plenty pissed with director Priyadarshan [Images]. Wouldn't you be as well if work was sparse and hits unheard of, and then some chick upstages you in your next film?

Even though Amisha is paired opposite the main lead Akshay Kumar in Bhool Bhulaiyaa, she has been elbowed to the back row by Vidya Balan.

Some quick pointers: Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a rip off from the original Malayalam film Manachitratazu, which was also remade in Tamil (Chandramukhi).

In the story, the role played by the character paired opposite the second male lead is far larger than the woman opposite the main male lead. (Please read it again to get the point, really, there is one). And according to that, the story is really about Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja [Images].

So basically, Amisha's there more for balancing the estrogen on the sets than for any real 'role driven' contribution in the film.

And every Bollywood film needs the main lead to have a love interest. How else would they portray him as the troubled but soulful kind but misunderstood sympathy factory?

Also, you just can't cast Akshay Kumar in a film without a couple of chicks hanging on for dear (professional) life on every word he blurts

Ameesha:Missing the spotlight

;

In the poster, she is standing and is flanked by Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi and Paresh Rawal, whereas Vidya Balan is sitting next to Akshay Kumar.

Ameesha Patel is spewing venom. She is livid with director Priyadarshan and the producers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa for not giving her prominence in the publicity posters.

In the poster, she is standing and is flanked by Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi and Paresh Rawal, whereas Vidya Balan is sitting next to Akshay Kumar.

Incidentally, Ameesha is paired opposite Akshay in the film and Vidya is opposite the second lead, Shiney Ahuja.

A source from the production unit says, Ameesha was very upset when she saw the posters and immediately called Priyan but it was too late by then as all the posters were designed and sent for printing.

When we checked with director Priyadarshan, he said that he was not aware that Ameesha was upset. The actress was unavailable for comment

Akshay Kumar - I am extremely excited about BHOOL BHULAIYAA

Bollywood Trade News Network

BHOOL BHULAIYAABollywood's leading man, Akshay Kumar, breaks controversial new ground in his latest film offering, BHOOL BHULAIYAA. In a role that challenges centuries of superstitions and beliefs that are held widely in India and across the globe, the affecting psychological thriller, BHOOL BHULAIYAA, releases in cinemas internationally on 12th October 2007 through integrated media and entertainment company and leading global distributor of Bollywood cinema, Eros International.

As Akshay Kumar's career unstoppably reaches ever greater heights, the thespian of Bollywood cinema continues to display a fearlessness in mastering film roles that not only push his own boundaries as one of Bollywood's most accomplished actors, but also in challenging the norms and conventions of filmmaking, as well as societal belief systems. Such ambitions are perfectly observed by his role in BHOOL BHULAIYAA.

Under the directorship of the award-winning Priyadarshan and produced by Bhushan Kumar, who hails from one of the Indian film industry's most respected dynasties, BHOOL BHULAIYAA teams Akshay Kumar with a host of other stars from the cr? of Bollywood's new brat pack.

Filmed against the sumptuous backdrop of Jaipur, BHOOL BHULAIYAA is set in a small village in Rajasthan, which is steeped in superstition and conservatism. Badri (Manoj Joshi) heads a Brahmin family whose ancestral palace is believed to be possessed. On returning from America, Badri's son, Siddharth (Shiney Ahuja) and daughter-in-law, Avni (Vidya Balan) decide to spend a month in the palace, despite familial objections. As unnatural events start to unfold and demons begin to surface within the psyche, a motley crew of black magicians and witch doctors are called in to perform an exorcism of the evil spirits. These age-old conventions are challenged by the arrival of a psychiatrist from America, Dr Aditya Shrivastav (Akshay Kumar), and friend of Siddarth, who uses modern analytical techniques to find a resolve.

Within the traditional conventions of Bollywood filmmaking BHOOL BHULAIYAA intelligently challenges ancient and deep rooted belief systems that continue to influence large parts of India and the developing world. It astutely blends thrill with humour as it reveals undiscovered dimensions of human psychology, and introduces the arguments of reason v/s emotion and science v/s superstition. Fuelled high with entertainment factor, but also coercing the audience to question pre established moral, social and psychological codes, BHOOL BHULAIYAA is sure to spark debate and controversy, as it argues that there is no such thing as spirit possession, but rather that this is a manifestation of schizophrenia within the human psyche.

In relation to what has been one of Akshay Kumar's most challenging roles to date, that required a sensitive balance of humour, with the challenging of deeply entrenched belief systems, Akshay comments, "I am extremely excited about this film project. From a filmic perspective, I feel we have done a wonderful job of creating something that will appeal to faithful and regular cinemagoers, as well as drawing audiences who are interested in seeing how the film opens the floodgates to a whole new dimension of thought and rationale about the human condition and psyche. It challenges pre-conceived notions about sensitive issues and brings into question society's perceptions of faith, superstition, science and reasoning."

Siddharth returns to his hometown in the interiors of India. His family welcomes the US based Siddharth & his newly wed wife Avni (Vidya Balan) when they come home. But when Siddharth insists on staying in his royal ancestral mansion his family goes against him. For it was that very mansion that held in its realm, a deadly secret that had repeatedly destroyed the family for generations. The scientifically inclined Siddharth pays no heed initially but soon is forced to rethink his decision. Siddharth instinctively finds the solution in his dynamic Doctor friend Aditya (Akshay Kumar). Where did the answer lie??? The Scientific world or the Mystical one??? The puzzle had to be solved

BHOOL BHULAIYAA to mark Amisha's comeback?

Amisha Patel had a dream start to her career with two of the most talked about projects in recent times, KAHO NAA PYAAR HAI and GADAR-EK PREM KATHA.

In 2000 she made her debut with the best addition to Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan. Needless to add that the movie in question, KAHO NAA PYAAR HAI, went on to become a super hit. The very next year saw Amisha teaming up with Sunny Deol for one of Bollywood's all time blockbusters, GADAR-EK PREM KATHA. Unfortunately, her career took a nosedive after that and barring a HUMRAAZ (2002) all her movies turned out to be box-office failures.

However, the year 2007 began on a good note for Amisha as her multistarrer project HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT LTD. was a surprising success. Not only that, her appearance in the title track of HEYY BABYY (during the credits) was also applauded by the audience, especially when she grooved with Akshay Kumar.

It now seems that Amisha is finally going to get her elusive hit with BHOOL BHULAIYAA, if the response to the movie?s promos is anything to go by. The movie pairs her with Akshay Kumar in an important role (as 'Radha').

While on Amisha and BHOOL BHULAIYAA, not many know that she got hurt during the shooting of the film in Rajasthan, earlier this year
