Well said Vinu...  Problem comes in its implementation.  The ones who are successful are the smart ones...

moreover, limits are different for different people.  some people cross them and unintentionally hurt others.  some intentionally hurt just for the heck of playing games.  One drawing limits is not enough.

Yes... and the problem lies with those who come to intentionally hurt or just for the heck of playing games....  Many weirdos out there who like playing games for the kick of feeling someone under their "so called power"... Against such unknown, faceless "entities" any precaution one takes is not enough.

If anyone know their own good points and week points he/she should draw the limit....Hurting happen when you expect something from a Virtual friend...Dont expect anything from a virtual friend.

I like what Priya wrote about Internet friendships.

You share this information with virtual friends, and you reach a stage of friendships... but man is never stagnant in the same position for long.... the urge to move on comes on.... and with it, the pitfalls of the net come too.  WHY MEN ony????!!!Ouch Confused They who want to strike wait for this moment, when the defenses are down and the sensations are lulled into a false sense of security.

ClapClap Very well said. <---Thumbs Down Ermm she talking like a feminist....Confused

Vinu, expectations arise only when one is led to believe with a sweet talk.  Nobody is a fool otherwise.  Taalee ek haath se nahee bajtee, true, but those leading by wrong hints are dirtbags and it is easy to say not to make virtual friends, but the truth is- many internet people are actually who they say they are, and such people are easy target of internet bluffs.  It is not so absurd to believe someone who appears genuinely supportive and NICE person.

Vnu, good point at why men only.. yeah- turns out there are internet black widows too LOLLOL..  but I doubt anybody was trying to be a feminist / judgmental only against men here.. Priya made EXCELLENT point if you're willing to let go the gender facor here.  It is about a person who is here to have Fun at other person's stake.
