I tried reading Arthur Hailey's 'In HIgh PLaces', but as good as a writer that he is, the book is just not fascinating to me, mainly because the characters, barring a few, are quite unlikable :(

I am going to give this up and pick "Ground Beneath Her Feet' by Salman Rushdie. His 'Midnights Children' was intriguing, if a little exasperating, but my gut tells me I will like the 'Ground Beneath Her Feet' a lot more!

I just finished Immortals of Meluha and waiting for Secret of Nagas book to be delivered. Def Page Turner. Also reading a light romance Scandal by Amanda Quick.

I'm so glad I stumbled across this topic again!!! I am in dire recommendations of new books. Cant wait to see what y'alll have been reading.

I just finished reading the 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' triology, by Swedish writer, Steig Larsson. I wholeheartedly recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of thrillers. Its a page turner and includes politics as well as history. The characters of Blomkvist and Salander are sheer brilliance!!
