In real professional world, since stakes and risks are so high one silly mistake can cost a lot.

Still we say "subhaah ka bhula agar sham ko ghar aa jata hai ussey bhula nahi boltey " (If someone is lost in terms of actions / thoughts, but later he realizes and makes oneself found in evening then not be called lost)

Debate here is - mistakes are mistakes in pro world, acceptance and making for it doesn't count. True statement?

I don't agree. In both professional and personal realm, acknowlegdement of a mistake, and taking responsibility for one need be commended. In my eyes, it raises the value of a person, especially in today's world, where people are so often willing to take credit for what is done by others, and scapegoat others when deemed fit.

It's true that when stakes are high, repercussions are big, too when something goes wrong. One needs a big 'zigar' or the heart of a lion to admit a mistake, and suffer the consequences. AT least the person will be able to sleep at night then. I assume.

That depends a lot on the profession and what loss you caused.  Some mistakes are unavoidable.  Some should never have been made- not even once.  Some should not be repeated.

A reason why doctors pay heavily for their practice insurance? killing someone is just a mistake too! Ouch consequences are severe.

Professional traders (like our favorite DM-sattebaaj LOL)  I gather are allowed to play others' millions in profits or losses ..

Once in grad school, I ordered PCR primers scale and instead of $30 bill, I incurred a bill of $ 2500. That happened with a slight spelling mistake of micro () instead of nano (n) molar  .. I wondered if I would be fired.. But worked around! Dude, if one talks about professional mistake, I remember that! Different professions, different impact!

Mistakes are more often than not intentional and proceeding on that premise, I would say, if someone commits a mistake, acknowledges it, then it should be accepted.

To err is human. There can always be a error of judgement. There can always be a second line of thought, which may not always be as good as the first line of thought, but which may not be entirely wrong or erroneous.

Be it professional, be it personal, mistakes are always capable of rectification. Sometimes, we cant always turn the clock back, but if we can rectify it to the best in the circumstances, then I would say, Mistakes are natural, its not the end of the world..... and in my opinion, there is never an end of the world.

This does not encompass situations which are not Mistakes, but deliberate negligence, fully conscious of the outcome of their acts.
