Thank you all for appreciating my quasi detailed update yesterday. Since that short, dry, to the point version was so welcome, let us see if we can't make it shorter still… 😉 .
Mallika and Jassi at lunch: Jassi asks Mallika what she wants to know. Mallika tells Jassi that it is strange that they are sitting on the same table since they have never liked each other. Jassi tells her that she never had negative feelings for Mallika. Mallika tells Jassi that today they are here as two women and not as Gulmohar's representatives. That Jassi has been with Armaan throughout in Gulmohar first as his secretary and then as his assistant and sometime even conspired against her. Jassi says that though she did side with Armaan but never against anybody not even against Mallika.
Nazneen is in Raj's room picking a call, she sees the packet Raj left for Armaan, sees Armaan's name and picks up the packet to give it to him. Raj is in car trying to reach Armaan unsuccessfully. He finally send him an SMS to pick up the packet himself.
Mallika tells Jassi that she knows all about Armaan and Mallika relationship. She probably knows him better than her. She asks Jassi what she thinks about Armaan and Mallika's relationship. Jassi says that Armaan thinks of Mallika as a very important part of his life and they will be very happy together. Mallika tells her that this will be possible only if Armaan stays with her. She feels that there is another woman in his life and if this is so then she will bow out gracefully. She asks Jassi her opinion on what she should do. What would Jassi do if she was in her place. Jassi says that she would not know. She has known love but has not experienced it. In any case seeing her, no one would expect her to know anything about men and such emotions. Mallika tells her that she is leaving Armaan in Jassi's hands and going to Goa. Though she had expectations from this talk she did not really believe anything will come out of it. She is about to leave and Jassi calls her and tells her that she thinks Mallika and Armaan can get their old love back if they try. That Armaan still loves her. And if Mallika changes herself to the same person whom Armaan had fallen in love with, all will be ok. Mallika says no. Though she had also thought the same, this Goa trip was supposed to be the turning point, but now this trip is taking her far away from him.
Nazneen welcomes Jassi back and hands over the Raj packet for Armaan and asks her to give it to him. Pari stops her on the way with her cutting remarks. Entry of Neena Gupta as Nandini Sharma. She catches Pari ridiculing Jassi and takes her down a peg or two. She is a public relation consultant and was called by Armaan to see if she could give her opinion on his new collection. Jassi thanks her for her intervention during the Pari episode. Nandini tells her that she could not see Jassi listening to Pari's lecture and one should always give back as good as one gets. In any case now that she has met Jassi, she does not need to wait for Armaan, he has told her all about the able Jassi, the CEO. She goes to meet Maddy. Armaan calls up Jassi to tell her that he is reaching back shortly and that Nandini is expected in the office.
Jassi is ecstatic in her office. Opens the Armaan card umpteen no. of times and thinks that she never could imagine that he would support her like this, give her so much honour. Whatever she has is given by him. How should she thank him. Then she thinks about giving up her position as CEO in return for all his help and guidance. She is writing down her resignation letter.
She carries the letter and the bag to Armaan's cabin. She is again talking to Armaan's empty chair. The bag drops to the floor. Some soft toys and cards drop out of the bag. She is about to open a card when Armaan walks in and she hands him her resignation letter and he reads it. He is shocked out of his wits. And asks her why she wants to resign. She says that now that the finances are ok and future is bright she wants to get back to being his assistant. He says that they are not out of the woods yet. But she insists. She sends him to meet Nandini and once again picks up the card.
It has a letter and it reads:
This bag has everything that you would need to keep your ugly relationship with the ugly faced Jassi alive. Jassi reads it 2-3 times.
