Uh-oh: Himesh Reshammiya
A new chapter has been added to the Himesh Reshammiya-Sonu Niigaam war.

The singer-music director duo has been at loggerheads for a long time, but an incident that took place at The Incredibles show in Washington (USA) over the weekend has now brought the hostilities out in the open.

On Saturday, a spectator disrupted Sonu's performance when he started distributing audio CDs of Reshammiya's upcoming film Aap Kaa Surroor:

The Moviee – The Real Luv Story in the middle of his act! It turned out that the culprit was a staff member of Washington resident Vijay Taneja, who is producing Reshammiya's film.

Surprisingly, Taneja is also the promoter of The Incredibles show, of which Sonu is the star!

Publicity hungry

Says an eyewitness who was part of the audience, "Sonu and his father were paying tribute to Mohammed Rafi when a man suddenly got up from his seat and started throwing CDs of Aap Kaa Surroor in all directions!

The crowd got disturbed. Some of them ducked to avoid being hit by the flying CDs while some tried to catch them."

Seeing this disturbance, Sonu lost his temper and asked the person to leave the concert immediately.

When he didn't, Sonu called the security to make him leave.

On seeing the security guards coming towards him, the man fled.

People close to Niigaam suspect this is Reshammiya's ploy to kill two birds with one stone: publicise his film and disrupt Sonu's show.

Strong support

When we touch base with Sonu, he blasts Reshammiya saying, "This is not done. This is no way to publicise a film.

If it were done before the show at the entrance of the hall, it would have been fine, but how can I tolerate it when something like this is happening during my performance?

My father and I were paying a profound tribute to Rafi saab when this staffer from Taneja's office started throwing CDs at the teary-eyed audience and disturbed the atmosphere."

Niigaam says that when he shouted at Taneja's staffer, the crowd supported him. "They cheered for me when I lambasted the culprit and had him thrown out.

Their support had to be seen to be believed, after all, they had paid a big sum to hear us (Asha Bhonsle, Kunal Ganjawala, Kailash Kher and Sonu) sing. They were not there to have CDs flung at them."

His Himeshness and Vijay Taneja were unavailable for comment.

Mallika Sherawat's raunchy dance in a gypsy skirt

Sex kitten Mallika Sherawat will do the raunchy jig dressed in revealing clothes for a song in Himesh Reshammiya's debut film as an actor.

It is no secret that Mallika plays a negative character in Himesh's forthcoming movie Aap Ka Suroor . The film has Himesh Reshammiya pairing with gorgeous Hansika Motwani . Mallika plays a manipulative siren who does everything in her power to seduce Himesh and create a misunderstanding between him and his lover (Hansika).




The highlight of the movie will be the cult song "Mehbooba Mehbooba" that will have Mallika doing a cabaret act like Helen in Ramesh Sippy's movie Sholay .

The song will be shot in a very stylish way. The initial portion of the song will show Mallika dancing against the backdrop of tents (like Helen's song). For this portion, designer Ashley Rebello has designed a gypsy skirt (with frills) and a tiny, colorful blouse for Mallika.

The latter portion of the song will be shot in a lavish set-up depicting the interiors of a casino. For this portion, Rebello is designing a translucent black gown for Mallika.

The film's director Prashant Chadha is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that Mallika's 'Mehbooba' song turns out to be a crowd-pulling number.

Choreographer Saroj Khan has been signed in to choreograph Mallika's dance steps. For the initial portions of the song Saroj Khan will make Mallika dance to Helen-like steps. Later, in the casino sequence, Mallika will do cabaret dance.

Make-up man Mickey Contractor will give Mallika a sensuous look with smoky eyes and shiny skin.

The song, sung by Reshammiya, has the same melody as R D Burman's original composition. DJ Akbar Sami has done the remixing.

Himesh Reshammiya says the audience will go in ruptures to see the skimpily dressed Mallika dance to "Mehbooba Mehbooba" in 'Aap Ka Suroor'.

Well, only time will tell that.
