I think happiness of family/friends, everyone else I care about & knowing that everyone surrounding me is happy makes my life beautiful.

I think it goes in order, like first if you are healthy and haven problem then you move to your family and friends, if they are happy then even your surrounding people are not happy that starts bothering me... many times we have no connection but even than it makes me unhappy. like I have no one in army or force of US but just the thought that how many young kids & other people are killed in Iraq qar makes me sad many-many times... so it depends in how sensitive you are to other people's pain...

the thing which make my life beautiful, is SOrrow....
If there is only Joyness.... Then No One know or understand the taste of Real Joy......After Facing the Taste of Sorrow, We Feel the Moments Of happiness with our heart and that make us more and more happy as compared to the moments of only Joyness........ thats the Reason why sorrow make my life beautiful....it is just like a dark night, and after facing this dark night, I feel the real happiness.....

Raj, I thought for 3 seconds about the other POV you mentioned. I believe that that family / friends make life beautiful. I also read about a situation you described depicting LOSS of dear someone to terminal illness..

Yes, it does sound and is extremely painful I must agree. However, instead of thinking that their troubles and fear of loss makes you life hard and unfair.. not having met them ever would be even worse! What you have in a friend and a loved one that has filled your life with memories.. FOND memories do make life beautiful.. Yes, there are bad ones related to your own parents / kins sometimes hurting you, which could make it miserable for some. But I doubt that stops one from saying that people in their lives make it beautiful.   

I would be miserable w/o ---> family & friends
I am miserable w/o my dream job right now, but it is so not the same compared to leaving a loved someone (believe me i am very career-oriented and still saying this)
The bonds that we make here is what LIFE is about imho.

Why not Anshu? Their illness or bad circumstances might make us unhappy at that moment, but if we do our part, help them, take care of them and make them happy, then we feel happy. My grandmother suffered from cancer - For three years, I did not leave her side. I was with her 24/7 and I am happy that I gave up a lot of things then to be with her. Death is a certainty - why only terminal illness? Anyone of us could, God forbid, die at any time - kya yeh soch kar zindagi bhar dukhi rahein??? The beauty of life lies in making the most of it

Beauty of life is Accepting and making the best of things as they come our ways in life. No need to feel sorry for the things which are out of our hands. Birth and Death or illness. If you do your best than you can be happy within abt your doing-Karma.

I see beauty in Nature which makes me extremely happy. Life itself is Beauty which includes birth and death and what ever comes in between IMHO.
