Hey Wingy, for the oosimani stuff go to "JIL JIL" just opposite to Pondy bazar Saravana bhavan. Its the store full of these costume accessories.

Thanks Guys. I might go home(!!!) this summer. Will check it out. How about Narayana pearls - someone told me they are good.
When I went to India the first time (I mean after coming here) 5/6 yrs back -- Chennai silks had very good collection at a very resonable price. When I went couple of years back, I was not so impressed with them. You might check it out and see how it is.

Any suggestions where to get trendy skirts, long, pleated etc...?

Glad to see this new thread...

You can try Nalli's curtain material section. They had good raw silk materials, they may have sheers as well.. As for Kurta tops, I found some nice trendy one's at lifestyles...
