15.1 Mohammad Rafique to Pitcher, no run, tossed up outside off, defended off the backfoot to backward point, well the rain returns!

15.37 : Alright some good news! The covers are off and play will resume in less than 10 minutes from now. It has been further reduced to 21 overs-a-side, weather permitting.

The umpires are walking out to the center and so are the batsmen. Hopefully we have seen the last of the rain interruptions.

Earlier: The players are heading back to the pavilion, Bangladesh seem rather reluctant to do so, the covers are on the pitch. The blue covers are now coming out to cover the square around the pitch. That's not a very good sign, the steady drizzle continues.

This is the fourth rain break, counting out the delayed start. This will no doubt affect the concentration and rhythm of the batsmen and test the patience of the spectators.

A note to the readers who may have just joined us - If the match isn't completed today, play will resume from the same position tomorrow. In other words, the match will not be replayed from the very beginning. It will continue to be 30 overs-a-side (as of now).

Readers have been writing in, asking about the playing conditions in rain-shortened matches like these. It takes a minimum of 20 overs to constitute a game. If Bermuda manage to play out at least 20 overs, Bangladesh's target will be revised according to Duckworth/Lewis method. It hasn't come down to that now.

In the event of the match being washed out (including the reserve day tomorrow), both teams will earn a point each and Bangladesh will advance to the Super Eights (with three points). For all those pining/hoping for India to sneak through, Bermuda will have to beat Bangladesh, simple as that.

15.20 : It's still raining in Port of Spain and the covers are still on. Chances of play resuming today seem bleak. Looks like all will depend on the reserve day tomorrow. We will update you when we receive some official word.

Readers have been asking about possible D/L targets. It hasn't reached that stage yet as we have a whole day tomorrow to complete the game. Our advice is to wait for a final word from the umpires.
